Blog Tour: Take by Ella Frank

Synopsis

TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.

Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.

Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.

He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.

Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.

Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.

At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.

He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.

Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

4.5 Star Review by Jennifer Skewes

Take is the second installment in the Temptation series.  I loved Logan and Tate and could not wait to see what happened between these two beautiful men.

I really enjoyed Try but have to say that I loved Take even more.  When we first met Logan and Tate, there story was one that was more about the physical attraction between the two of them.  It was the sexual connection that they had.  Logan knew he wanted Tate but Tate had never had any sexual feeling towards a man, ever!  So he was dealing with his desire and passion to be with Logan.  He was dealing with the attraction that he felt towards a man.  This also coming in the middle of his separation/divorce from his bitchy ex wife. TRY was about the exploration of each other bodies and feelings.  But with Take there is so much more emotion that was involved in this book and I loved it.

Take starts off exactly where we  left off.  Logan and Tate are going to try to make a relationship work.  When they first met, Logan wanted Tate and had no problem admitting to it.  But Tate had never been with a man before and soon became a challenge for Logan.  There was this undeniable chemistry between the two of them.  And even if he had a hard time admitting it he was attracted to Logan and wanted him in ways he never expected.  When he is with Logan he is happy and feels alive.  He has never had this connection with someone nor felt this way with anyone, especially a man.

Tate and Logan's relationship has been discovered by Tate's ex wife and his sister and now they must decide where to go from here.  It is only a matter of time before Tate's parents find out.  Take is about their relationship, their feelings, and their fear.  They have both found a love that they never expected with each other, but it is the deep love that they do feel for each other that brings out fears in both of them.  Logan is afraid to put his heart on the line again.  Last time he did that it broke him.  Tate's fears are similar in the sense that he is afraid of giving his heart to a man but it also goes deeper for him.  Telling his family that he is sleeping with a man and is in love with him is not going to be easy.  But the fear also comes from the fact that he is not sure if they will be able to accept it.  Can Tate and Logan overcome their fears?  Are they willing to fight for their love and their relationship no matter what the risks?

I love Logan and Tate together and what I loved about this book is the emotions that you felt between the two of them.  Try is about lust, passion and hot sex.  It's about the physical connection that they have and how it starts to develop into something more.  But with Take we see that "more" between the two of them.   We see how deep their love for each other really is.  We see how strong and deep their emotional connection is.  They are in love and it is a love that they have never felt before.  It's not something that Tate can explain or sometimes even understand.  But what he knows is that when he is with Logan is is happy and being with Logan just makes him "feel".  But there are many obstacles standing in their way.  As much as they love each other there are other factors and risk to consider.  They both have to decide what is important.  Is their love worth it.

I felt the emotions that these two went through.  The hurt, pain, love and even the fear.  I understand it and felt for them.  The love that these two men have for each other is just so beautiful.  I loved their story and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Excerpt

“That’s your truck?”

“Yes.”

“It’s so…”

“So what?” Logan challenged as he pulled his keys from his pocket.

“Old?”

“Excuse me. I’ll have you know I was driving this baby all through college and she still runs like a dream.”

Tate watched as Logan walked over to run his hand over the scratched-up tailgate, and he was amazed that he even made that look sexy. Like he was stroking a lover.

“And it’s a she, huh?”

Now around at the passenger’s side, Logan opened the door and looked at him over the bed of the truck. “Yeah. Jealous?”

Laughing, Tate walked over to where Logan stood with a hand on the door and kissed him slowly on the mouth.

“I’m jealous of anything you stroke like that.”

“Get in the truck, Tate.”

“Or else?”

Logan stepped forward, crowding him back against the inside frame of the vehicle. “You’re not ready for the or else…”
