Review Tour: Inappropriate by Vi Keeland

INAPPROPRIATE IS LIVE!
A Standalone Contemporary Romance
#1 New York Times Bestselling Author Vi Keeland

SYNOPSIS
Terminated for inappropriate behavior.
I couldn’t believe the letter in my hands.
Nine years.  Nine damn years I’d worked my butt off for one of the largest companies in America, and I was fired with a form letter when I returned home from a week in Aruba.
All because of a video taken when I was on vacation with my friends—a private video made on my private time. Or so I thought…
Pissed off, I cracked open a bottle of wine and wrote my own letter to the gazillionaire CEO telling him what I thought of his company and its practices.
I didn’t think he’d actually respond.
I certainly never thought I’d suddenly become pen pals with the rich jerk.
Eventually, he realized I’d been wronged and made sure I got my job back.
Only…it wasn’t the only thing Grant Lexington wanted to do for me.
But there was no way I was getting involved with my boss’s boss’s boss. Even if he was ridiculously gorgeous, confident, and charming.
It would be completely wrong, inappropriate even.
Sort of like the video that got me into trouble to begin with.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
But sometimes it’s twice as fun.

No rain. No Flowers

It's easy to write a review when you have mad love for the book! Vi Keeland is on my short list of authors. Anything she writes I will read. She never disappoints. Inappropriate is no exception.

Ireland Saint James has just returned from a bachelorette holiday in Aruba. Only to receive a letter from her employer letting her know that due to a sexual explicit video on social media, she's been fired after 9 years! The bungalow that she and her friends stayed at had a private, nude beach. Ireland, after a few cocktails may have walked around topless. One of her friends may have filmed it and posted it. Somehow her company got a copy of it and she's no longer the reporter for the morning news. What's a girl to do? Get trashed with her best friend that's what.

Waking up the next day, she remembers that not only is she unemployed, but she sent a drunken email to the president of Lexington Industries, her former employer. Let's just say it wasn't the most professional email she could have sent.

When Grant Lexington, the president of the company, responds, it's not good.

"For your information, I have not viewed the video you referred to. But if my spank bank ever runs a little low, perhaps I'll dig it out of my trash folder-along with the standard letter of recommendation your superior had planned to give you."

She writes an apology email. He responds but still considers her unemployed. But Grant is intrigued by Ireland and he digs up her personal file which has some highly personal information. They have a few things in common.

Grant Lexington is no spoiled rich kid. He was a foster kid adopted into a wealthy, loving family. His mom has passed and he's highly protective of his grandparents. His grandfather has dementia (grandpa is an absolute hoot!) and his family seems to be the only ones he's close to-that's by his choice.

A chance meeting leads to a meeting between Ireland and Grant. The chemistry between them is bouncing all over the place. But Grant has been a little less than honest and that's about to go Kaboom!

Inappropriate is funny and raw and has some heartbreaking moments.

"I've spent the last seven years avoiding anyone I might love."

But it's also witty and hilarious (Ireland's bestie Mia is hysterical!) and there are more laughs than tears. Both Ireland and Grant have pasts filled with pain. Grant has locked up his heart in a vault and although he wants to give it all to Ireland, he's not sure how much he can give. There is unimaginable hurt in this story, but then again, no rain, no flowers.

We fall in love by chance. But staying in love and making it work isn't something that happens by chance-that's a choice. And I've chosen to love Ireland.
