What started out as a joke— seduce Coach Wilder—soon became a goal she had to score. With Olympic tryouts on the horizon, the last thing nineteen-year-old Kinsley Bryant needs to add to her plate is Liam Wilder. He's a professional soccer player, America's favorite bad-boy, and has all the qualities of a skilled panty-dropper. • A face that makes girls weep – check. • Abs that can shred Parmesan cheese (the expensive kind) – check. • Enough confidence to shift the earth’s gravitational pull – double check. Not to mention Liam is strictly off limits . Forbidden. Her coaches have made that perfectly clear. (i.e. “Score with Coach Wilder anywhere other than the field and you’ll be cut from the team faster than you can count his tattoos.”) But that just makes him all the more enticing…Besides, Kinsley's already counted the visible ones, and she is not one to leave a project unfinished. Kinsley tries to play the game her way as they navigate through forbidden territory, but Liam is determined to teach her a whole new definition for the term “team bonding.” A fun & sexy New Adult Romance (age 17+)

4 Star Review by Jennifer Hagen

Kinsley is an up and coming soccer athlete beginning her first year of college and is training diligently towards her dream that she will be asked to try out for the Olympic soccer team.  On the night of her 19th birthday she meets the handsome 25-year-old professional soccer player Liam Wilder at a house party and they flirt it up.

Liam is known for his bad-boy ways of partying, hooking up with women, and generally putting out a bad representation for his sponsors.  He has been told to clean up his act or risk losing endorsement deals.  One of the ways he is able to help his image is to volunteer, which he does by volunteering to assist the college girls soccer team that Kinsley is a member of.  Kinsley is attracted to Liam and it appears he is also attracted to her.  The problem??  -- the coach has declared a non-fraternizing policy to the girls.

He’s my coach.  My off-limits coach.  He’s like chocolate and I’m like pickles.  They shouldn’t be mixed.

Kinsley and Liam are trying to keep their attraction to each other on the down low and are able to manage a few secret rendezvouses,  but as with any forbidden romance there is always going to be somebody that will discover their secret and use it to their advantage.   Both Kinsley and Liam have a lot to lose, but probably more so Kinsley if she is kicked off the team.  That would pretty much seal the deal of her not making the Olympic trials.

In the big picture of my life, Liam was a dot on the timeline, yet he was capable of wiping away everything that could have come after him.

As if Kinsley doesn’t  have enough to worry about with keeping their relationship a secret, she is faced with a conniving teammate hell bent on destroying Kinsley and her friends by singling them out in hazing activities, and her ex-boyfriend is constantly trying to win her back with grand gestures even though he was the one she caught in bed with another girl.  Kinsley has a wonderful sense of humor (albeit a little odd) that helps her get through these difficult times and face everything with a positive attitude.

Can a leopard change his spots?  Is Liam capable of losing his bad boy status and maintaining a relationship even with the pressure of paparazzi constantly looking for a way to spin a story?  What happens when their secret is revealed?

“I just put a lot on the line for you, Kinsley.  I was out there fighting for you, fighting for us…But I did all that because I wanted to be with you, I wanted the whole package – not the sneaking around, not the forbidden romance.”

This was a fun light-hearted read.  I loved the warped sense of humor that Kinsley and her best friend had.  When I first began this story I was feeling like the humor was overdone and was almost forced, but after a few chapters I was able to laugh right alongside them.  Liam is a great guy who has had his share of women but is ready to show his commitment to Kinsley.  It’s always fun to read about a reformed bad boy and see his soft/romantic side come out.

But just before she stepped inside, I heard the same sexy voice that I’d heard the previous night— the voice that said, I'm sexy and I know it. "Morning ladies." Every single girl froze and we turned in unison. Liam Wilder was standing a few feet away wearing workout gear and a friendly smile. Of course his friendly smile could easily be misconstrued for a take-your-panties-off smile, so it's a wonder we all managed to mutter shocked hellos. I guess he'd pulled up in the parking lot a few minutes after we did. I peered behind him and saw a black Mercedes SUV parked in the spot closest to the field house. A photographer was snapping pictures on the other side of the fence. Jeez, they wake up this early to get pictures of him? "Oh, hi Liam." Tara smiled wide. I shot Becca a gag-me face. "You guys should probably call me Coach Wilder while we're at practice," he admonished. I had to fight to keep from cracking up. The shocked look on Tara's face was absolutely priceless, but it still wasn't enough to make me forget the awkwardness of the situation. I couldn't look up at him. The last time we'd spoken, I'd literally asked him to show me his tattoos, which we both knew really meant I wanted him to show me his soccer balls. Hah. I'd have to tell Becca that one later. I tugged her and Emily forward without acknowledging Liam and headed for the conference room. Thankfully, Coach Davis was there already and Liam didn't follow us in.

I am a lover of books, chocolate, good TV, metaphors and similes, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things... everyday. I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I'm a comedy geek and love all things "funny". Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
