Review by Jen Skewes

I completely devoured this book in one day.  When it was all over I didn't know what to do with myself, which made me regret reading it so quickly. But I could not help myself.  This books was just that good!!

Devil's Redemption is the conclusion to Jericho and Isabelle's dark and steamy love story.  their story was one filled with revenge, hatred, and very raw and intense moments.  I wasn't sure if I loved or hated Jericho.  Actually, that's not really true, I loved him even though at times I hate him.  I saw beneath the hard exterior, the hatred he had for her family and saw a man who had a heart whether he wanted to admit it or not.

If you thought that this book would be more rainbows and unicorns and less darkness, you thought wrong.  these two still had to work through a lot to get to their happily ever after.  We know that they were both falling for each other, but the biggest issue between the two of them was trust. And with those trust issues came a lot of dark moments, but there were also the moments they made you see how perfect they were for each other.  how Isabelle brought out a side of him that he never expected.  And yes she brought out the dark Sid of him, but at the same time she was his light.  And that is what I loved.

Devil's Redemption is about Isabelle and Jericho not only finding their happy ending but learning to trust each other and be able to navigate the good with the bad.  How to come together and figure out who are their enemies and who are their friends.  And that is where their trust for one another become so important.

I don't want to go into any more detail because you just need to experience this book without knowing anything else.  What I can say, is that this book is just as dark, raw,  intense and well dare I say steamy as the first.  This is Natasha Knight we are talking about, so what else can one expect.  It’s the very reason why I have loved whey book of hers that I have read.  She knows how to write dark romance in a way that takes you out of your comfort zone but not too much where you bear to read further.  She know how to question your own morals and sanity because somehow she makes you fall for the monster in the story, the anti-hero.  And I can tell you that I fell hard for Jericho!!!  So, If you love all of the above then this duet is for you.  Jericho will test your limits.  Isabelle will frustrate you to no end but at the same time you will admire her strength.  Jericho will hold onto your heart no matter how much you claim to hate him.  And together you will see just how perfect they are.  I loved every minute of this series.  A must read for sure.

Release Blitz: Sneaking Around With #34 by Piper Rayne

Sneaking Around With #34 by Piper Rayne is now live!

I have a reputation for being tight-lipped. You learn quick when you become a professional hockey player to be guarded with the media, so I've worked hard to cover up the mistakes of my youth.

But when I'm traded to the Florida Fury, where my ex-best friend is the starting right wing, I'm forced to confront my past. Ford and I have a lot of history, especially when it comes to his little sister, Imogen.

My heart still lurches in my chest when I see her.
My hands want to reach out and touch her.
My mouth wants to keep apologizing.

She's the only woman who ever made me want more. But she's also the one who fell victim to my most regrettable decision.

I'm not a believer in fate, but I must be back in her world for a reason. I've fought for everything I've gotten and I'm not backing down from what I know will be the best thing in my life.

Review by Jen Skewes

I love this series.  It is a sweet, sexy, fun, feel good series.  This is book four in the series and a second chance romance.

Warner has just been traded to the Florida Fury where Ford Jacobs, his childhood best friend, also plays.  But unfortunately for him, Ford hates him because  he hurt his sister years ago.  The two of them were once a dynamic duo on the ice, bit with Ford hatred for Warner it is ruining the chemistry on the team.  But while Warner wants to make things right with Ford, it's his sister Imogen who he is really seeking forgiveness from.

Imogen and Warner have a past, one that involves broken hearts.  Warner never got the chance to explain what really happened that night. He. was young and knows he messed up, but he wants to properly apologize to Imogen and beg for a second chance.  Imogen is the one that got away, the only girl that he has ever loved and now it is time to get his girl back.

Imogen has just landed a job with The Fury and her boss thinks that she is the best person to make Warner Langley the new "it" player.  What does that mean exactly?  That she will be spending a lot of her time with the guy who broke her heart.  she is not sure that she can be this close to him without breaking down and giving in. But this is her job, and she needs to be strong.  She's afraid if she gives into her feelings for him that he will only break her heart again.  will they get the second chance they deserve?

I loved Warner and Imogen together.  Warner is this sexy hockey player who is still in love with the woman he fell for as a teenager.  He will do everything he can to make her see that they belong tougher.  I loved how sweet he could be one minute and sexy the nest.  I loved the chemistry between the two of them. and despite their past you could still feel what these two had,  You could see it in the flirty banter between them.

Sneaking Around With #34 is a great addition to this awesome series.  I love that we still get to see all of the other characters that we fell for.  We get to continue to see the shenanigans between the players and catch up open the other couples.  Warner and Imogen's story was sweet and sexy and everything that I love about Piper Rayne's books. I cannot wait for the next one.

The Bully by Willa Nash is now live!

Nellie Rivera is trading traffic for tranquility. When the quiet streets of small-town Montana beckon, she leaves Denver behind and moves to Calamity. It would be the perfect adventure if not for Cal Stark.

She was here first.

Lisa Kane's 4 Star Review

Willa Nash's (Devney Perry) The Bully is a sorta kinda enemies to lovers. Nellie Rivera has recently moved to Calamity to work along side her boss, Pierce. Cal Stark has just retired from the NFL and has moved to Calamity at the suggestion of his best friend, Pierce. Nellie and Cal have a complicated history. He was the popular rich kid in high school, Willa was there on a scholarship. Her father maintained Cal's family's lawn. In typical high school manner, Cal often teased Willa to get her attention. But he didn't realize that she viewed it as bullying her. She liked him but he hurt her feelings too many times.

When Cal stumbles upon an old diary of Nellie's he finally realizes how his actions must have come across to her. They both have moved to a small town, running into each other is unavoidable. He asks her the same question over and over,

"Tell me why you hate me."

She says the same thing over and over to him,

"This town isn't big enough. You have to move."

Check and checkmate. Who's going to give first?

Cal and Nellie don't alway avoid each other if you know what I mean. Seems they've been "not avoiding" each other for years. Once that itch is scratched they go their separate ways, only to return somewhere down the line. It was easier when they lived miles and miles apart. But now they are both in the same town and are going to have to redefine their relationship.

This was us.

Push and pull. Cold or hot. Off to on.

Nellie is constantly pranking Cal, her memories of him always seem to churn around in her head. I have to admit, that for a grown woman, at times, she acted pretty immature. Get over it already. Kids act like jerks in high school. Most people have memories they just want to forget about. As the years pass, and people grow up and experience the good and bad they usually become much better versions of themselves.

Cal did have some manning up to do when it came to his past. He hasn't always been the nicest guy to his fans or fellow team mates. Being the golden boy, he usually got away with it, but Nellie has no problem letting him know that he screwed up more than once.

"Does it matter? One thing. What's one thing you hate about me? This should be an easy question, so just answer me."

"You're mean," I blurted.

Cal didn't flinch or cringe or jerk. He didn't even blink. But I knew I'd hurt him. The sting showed in his hazel eyes.

I didn't read the first three books in this series, but I wasn't lost. The previous characters make lots of appearances and there are explanations for who they are, where they fit in, who belongs to who, so no worries if this is the first book you pick up to read in the series.

This is my first Willa Nash story, I've read lots of the author's previous works under Devney Perry. I liked this one, it's funny and complicated and has a different feel. I think I'm going to spend some time in Calamity and check out the others in the series.
