Release Blitz: Every Little Piece of Me by Lexi Ryan

Every Little Piece of Me, a sexy, standalone second-chance romance in the all-new Orchid Valley series, by New York Times & USA Today bestselling author, Lexi Ryan, is live!

It’s not every day you get invited to your wife’s wedding to another man...as a guest.

The first time I saw Brinley Knox, she was crying, draped in a ridiculous pink tulle dress for her sweet sixteen party, and cursing the boy who’d broken her heart.

I was the hired help, a teenage charity case.

She was the daughter of the wealthiest family in Orchid Valley.

I knew a girl like Brinley was off-limits for a guy like me. That didn’t stop me from kissing her. Or from promising that if she were ever mine, I’d never let her go.

The last time I saw Brinley, she was sleeping, tangled in the sheets of my Vegas penthouse, my diamond glittering on her left ring finger.

I returned three hours later to an empty bed, the ring on the dresser, and a note that said, “Can’t keep the ring. I’d never hold you to that.”

In the two years since, we’ve never talked about our impulsive Vegas nuptials—never talked at all after that night—but I’m not the kind of guy who’d file for a divorce he doesn’t want.

Until I got this damn invitation, it never occurred to me that Brinley didn’t think our wedding was real. Or didn’t remember it at all.

I guess it’s time to return to Orchid Valley and remind the bride-to-be that I’m a man who keeps his promises.

loved this second chance romance. From the moment that I read the blurb about the hero receiving a wedding invitation from his wife, I knew that I needed to read it. From the very beginning of the prequel I knew I was going to not only love the story but love Marston Rowe as well. We start from the beginning where Marston and Brinley met and how the rich girl and the boy who was considered the hired help, started a friendship which turned into more.
I
en Brinley and Marston met, he was 18 and she had just turned 16. They formed a friendship that was unlike anything that Brinley had before. While people may have seen her as the rich spoiled girl, she was anything but. She was going through a lot at the time that she met Marston and he seemed to be the only one that really saw her. And that is what made their relationship so special. But at some point Brinley pushes him a way, at a time when she probably needed him the most. While he didn’t want to leave her, she did her best to make him leave.
W
hIt’s ten years later and they run into each other in Vegas. They spend one night together, and they bother remember what it was like to be in each other’s arms, and to love the other. Six months later Marston gets a wedding invitation for Brinley’s wedding, which make him mad and confused at the same time. Why, you ask? Because she is married to him. He needs to go back to his hometown and figure out what is going on and then he needs to prove to her that they do belong together and that they can make this work. It won’t be easy, but he is determined!! Will she go through with the divorce and continue with her plans to marry?
loved this book. Marston is that guy that every girl dreams of being with. Even from the moment they met he was just a good guy, despite his reputation. He didn’t have the best life growing up, but he has made a name for himself and has always been a good person. He feelings for Brinley were so deep and just melted my heart. I loved seeing the flashbacks between the two of them. There was so much to their story when they were younger, and I loved that Ms. Ryan gave us those moments. I loved Brinley but at times she frustrated me but that is also the part of this book that make for great angst and drama. I loved every minute of this book. It is the perfect beginning to a new series, and I cannot wait for more.

Release Blitz: Wicked Secret by Sawyer Bennett

Wicked Secret (Wicked Horse Vegas, Book #8)
Sawyer Bennett
Release Date: May 26, 2020

Synopsis:
Those that truly know August Greenfield, will tell you that I live my life to the fullest. Work hard as part of the team at Jameson Force Security but play just as hard at The Wicked Horse Vegas. I have no regrets about my life.

Well, maybe just one.

Leighton Hale was my first love and the woman I wanted to spend my life with, but one day she was just gone. Vanished without a trace. Even my extensive contacts as part of the team at Jameson left me empty-handed in my search for answers. My single remorse is never being able to find out what happened to her, because no matter how difficult the truth may be, it can’t be as bad as never knowing at all.

Ten years later, a knock on my front door brings me face-to-face with the woman I thought I’d never see again and nothing in my life could have prepared me for the secrets she holds.

Review by Trinette Dungee

It’s been almost a year since we’ve visited The Wicked Horse Vegas and this visit is no less hot, no less steamy, no less erotic than any other visit.

August Greenfield opened his door in the early morning hours to see the one person who captured and broke his heart at the same time, but Leighton Hale’s return isn’t random. She needs August’s help and it’s a request he can't turn down.

While August and Leighton work to resolve a life of death situation he introduces her to a world she’s never seen before at the Wicked Horse Vegas. Leighton’s introduction to Wicked Horse was shocking to say the least but at the same time very intriguing. Her eyes have been open to more desire and sensuality than she ever thought existed. The attraction between the two has never been stronger and while each is trying not to get too attached, it’s comically pointless. August not only introduces Leighton to the world of Wicked Horse, but he also introduces her to the world of his career as he uses his Jameson background and connections to resolve their issues. Leighton’s reasons for coming to August have nothing to do with his law enforcement background, it just so happens that his background can keep Leighton and her family safe.

The chemistry between August and Leighton is on point. Although after their first “encounter”, I wanted to slap August upside his head. He was just being a rude ass. He may have been justified, but I still wanted to smack him. Leighton was no innocent either. Although I totally understood her reasons for not reaching out to August, I can’t help but to feel the situation was dire enough that a way could have been made for it to happen. With that being said, I like and connected with both characters immediately; actually with all of the characters. Even Leighton’s dad; there were a few moments where I felt really bad for him.

It’s no secret that I love Sawyer and thinks she's an absolute genius and this book can be added to the list of reasons why I think that. She has seamlessly managed to straddle two worlds in this book. Not only do we get a Wicked Horse story, but we also get a Jameson Security story. This is not the first time she’s done this but, in my opinion, it’s the first time we see almost equal parts of each series. You get the intrigue, mystery, and danger of Jameson; the eroticism, the kink, and the passion of Wicked Horse and you get the love and romance of both.

As always you get a taste of what’s to come. For Wicked Horse we get to meet the charming billionaire, Declan Blackwood and for Jameson we get closer to learning more about Malik Fournier.

Cover Reveal: Thoroughly Whipped by Tillie Cole

I, Faith Parisi, love my life. I have the best job—resident sex-advice diva for Visage magazine—I have the best friends, and I live in the best city in the world. Things are pretty damn fabulous. That is, until Henry “Harry” Sinclair III comes crashing back into my world like a bad case of herpes.

I hate the way Harry’s lip curls in contempt whenever he sees me. I hate his bright blue eyes and those inexplicably offensive dimples. I hate his stuffy English accent and the stick that’s permanently jammed up his aristocratic ass. More than anything, I hate that he’s now my boss.

But my professional prospects start to look up when a chance at writing Visage’s big summer feature falls into my lap. Success won’t be easy. I’ll need to let go of all my inhibitions—not that I have that many of those—and jump, stiletto heels first, into a hedonistic new world. An exclusive, secretive world, filled with leather, latex, and Manhattan’s elite.

Pulling this off will take every ounce of daring I have, and every ounce of focus. I can’t afford to get distracted by anything, least of all my new boss, his arrogant mouth, or the way the ice between us seems to be slowly melting away…

Release Date: 9th June (Platform Wide)

SYNOPSIS

Broken.

Damaged.

Fractured into a thousand tiny pieces.

I’d promised to make it all better

To heal the blows she’d been dealt.

But she wasn’t the only one living in a nightmare.

I’d tried to forget about my past as a marine, but it echoed in the edges of my mind, chipping away at my sanity.

The violent memories haunted me.

But now so did she.

I’d let my anger take over.

I thought I’d gone too far and destroyed everything.

But she was still there.

Waiting for me.

Waiting for us.

Our pain threatened to eradicate everything around us.

A roaring flame no one could extinguish.

But it was nothing compared to the fire in our souls.

The deepest love always burned the hottest.

And ours was set to ignite an inferno.

Review by Jen Skewes

This is the conclusion to Elodie and Asher's story.  I knew this one was going to hurt, after Ms. Davies left us with a huge cliffhanger in books one.  It wasn't just that we were left hanging or shocked by what happened.  It was more about the emotions that she left us with.  But that's what makes Abigail Davies the writer that she is.  Because when you read her book, you don't just read the words on the page, you feel them.  she has the way of making you feel the emotions of her characters in every way.  And when it came to Elodie and Asher's story, it was no different.

Elodie is so broke from her last, the way she grew up, and most recently her ex boyfriend and the abuse that he has out her through.  Asher is broken in his own way as well, having nightmares and horrific memories from when he fought overseas.  But for Asher, regardless of his own issues his main priority is being their for Elodie.  And if that means putting aside his own hurt and pain then he will.

Elodie has been through hell and back and is now trying to heal and move on.  But no one can understand what she is going through, what she is feeling, unless they have been in her shoes.  She is a very strong woman who is both hurt and in pain from what happened but also angry for what Knox took from her.  Her mixture of emotions was felt by me throughout the entire book. I was angry for her but I also hurt for her.  I wanted to see her come out of this entire situation a stronger person and with her head held high.  Honestly Asher was the most amazing and patient person that could have been by her side. He wanted nothing more to protect her, love her and be there for her in any way that he could.  He was so patient with her and her needs.  I knew that the love between the two of them was strong enough to them through this all.

Elodie and Asher's story was one that deals with a very delicate subject, one that will make you emotional and make you feel.  But Abigail Davies did what she does best.  She handled it in the perfect way, just enough to make you feel so deeply what they are going through but,  at the same it wasn't too much.  This was an emotional art two for these two characters but one then will end with your heart full.

I am sad to see this series end.  I loved every member of the Easton family.  I loved that even in Elodie and Asher's story we get to see so much of Brody and Lola and how so quickly they took Elodie in as one of them.  They are all truly amazing people that I loved and felt like I was a part of their family.  I know this series is over but I am really hoping for a spinoff with Jax and Al.  Another fantastic job by Abigail Davies.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Abigail Davies grew up with a passion for words, storytelling, maths, and anything pink. Dreaming up characters–quite literally–and talking to them out loud is a daily occurrence for her. She finds it fascinating how a whole world can be built with words alone, and how everyone reads and interprets a story differently. Now following her dreams of writing, Abigail has found the passion that she always knew was there. When she’s not writing: she’s a mother to two daughters who she encourages to use their imagination as she believes that it’s a magical thing, or getting lost in a good book. If she’s doing neither of those things, you can be sure she’s surfing the web buying new makeup, clothes, or binge watching another show as she becomes one with her sofa.

Everyone thinks Dean Collins is too old for Fallon Blackwood. Her parents, her friends, even Dean himself.

All she cares about is that she can’t take his eyes off Dean, her neighbor, her best friend, the guy who taught her to ride a bike and to climb trees.

All she cares about is that sometimes Dean can’t take his eyes off her, either. And that sometimes he looks at her like he wants to kiss her.

All that matters is that they belong with each other, and she needs to convince him of that.

Good thing they’re taking a cross-country road trip together, right?

California to New York; three thousand miles and a love story in the making…

Review by Jen Skewes

One of my favorite books to read is an age gap romance and Saffron Kent know just how to write them.  If you read The Medicine Man this is the story of Fallon, Willow and Simon's daughter, and Dean, the boy that they took under their wing so to speak.

When Dean was younger his mother passed away and his father more or less check out.  That's how he became a part of Fallon's family.  They took care of Dean and his sister.  When Fallon was three years old she told Dean that she was going to marry him one day.  He was 17 at the time.  Since she was a baby the two of them had a special bond that has continued throughout the years.  Whenever Fallon needed someone Dean was there for her.  He was her best friend and her protector.

She is now 18 years old and going to school in California, where Dean also moved to, two years ago. She has a plan to drive back to NY for Christmas and she has convinced Dean to come with her.  Her plan is to tell him that she loves him and has loved him for sometime now.  She has no idea how he will react or how she feels about him either.  But she needs to convince him that they belong together.  Telling Dean could go either way.  Will he admit his love for her as well or push her away?

I really enjoyed this book.  I loved that we get to see more of Simon and Willow, and especially loved the one chapter from Willow's point of view.  The small flashback of Dean and Fallon when they were younger was adorable and I could see why these two were meant to be together.  They loved each other with such intensity, that it reminded me of Simon and Willow.  My only issues was that it was too short for me.  I didn't realize that this was a novella, but I wished we got more of these two.  I wanted more of their back story, more flashbacks and just more of them.  I don't think I had enough time to fall in love with Dean.  I adored him, all though a little too possessive for me lol.  But that is just mean and regardless of his possessiveness I knew and felt how much he loved and cared for Fallon which is why I adored him.

Overall I really did enjoy this story.  Saffron Kent knows how to write an age-gap romance.  It is the reason that I love her writing.  It is a quick read, that is certainly intense at certain moments.  I loved the flashbacks, the revisiting with old characters, and the connection between Dean and Fallon.  I am hoping for Rosie and Brendan's story.

COVER REVEAL FOR
BREAK UP WITH HIM, FOR ME
Releasing in June 2020

Please leave your message at the sound of the beep…

Penelope, I know that it’s three o’clock in the morning, but I have to get this off my chest.

I can't give you any more advice on landing this other guy, can't tell you another "sexy" thing that you should do, or suggest a new set of filthy words that you should text him late at night.

As your best friend, I've reached my limit, and I can honestly say that he doesn't deserve you.

I'm not saying all of this because I'm f-cking jealous, or because he had the audacity to say that he makes more money than me. (I still can't find his name on the Forbes 500 list, and I know damn well that he's renting that Ferrari, but that's a story for a different day.)

He's not who you think he is, and the better man has always been right in front of you...

You have every reason to never give me a chance since you know me better than anyone, and you agree with all the tabloids calling me "The Cocky King of New York," and the "Untamed Playboy of Manhattan." But I honestly believe that you're better off with someone else, and I need you to see.

I'm not asking for too much...I just want you to break up with him, for me.

Release Blitz and Review: The Rival Roomies by Piper Rayne

Release Date: May 12

I’ve loved him from afar.

Though most times he’s only a foot away.

I’m smart enough to know he’ll never be anyone’s forever.

He checks all the bad boy boxes.
Tattoos. Check.
Motorcycle. Check.
Chip on his shoulder. Check check.

If he wasn’t my neighbor and friend I may have thrown myself at him. Okay, yeah. I wouldn’t. Because guys like Dylan don’t want a woman who writes kid’s math textbooks under him in bed. Instead, I pathetically savor morsels of moments where I have his sole attention.

That was until his archenemy moved in with me. Now suddenly, Dylan’s moving in too and warning off the first guy in a long time who’s showing me interest. Could he finally see me as more than a friend, or am I just a prize to win and show off to his enemy?

Review by Jen Skewes

I loved this book.  I devoured it in one sitting.  I am a huge fan of this series, but the was the couple that I was waiting for.  so far the is my fave of the series.  Piper Rayne did not disappoint when it came to Rian and Dylans's story!

Rian as loved Dylan from afar.  They are good friends, but she knows that they can never be anything more than that.  He is a bad boy with tattoos and she is the last person that he would want in his bed.  In her mind she is so far from his the that she just loves him from afar and takes the little moments she has with him as friends, accepting that, that's al it will be.

When an old friend of Dylan and Knox's comes to town to stay for a while, he becomes Rian's new roommate, which leads to Dylan as her third roommate.  Dylan does not want her living with a guy that she doesn't know all bu herself, but what we come to find is that there is so much more to him moving in.  Dylan is a hard guy to get to now.  He keeps his feelings to himself and his past even closer.  He's closed off when it comes to those two issues.  He knows that his feelings for Rian is beyond friendship, but he's too afraid of losing her to cross that line.  He needs to get his head out of his ass and finally admit to her how he feels.  And in doing so he needs to push aside his fear of what-ifs.  Can he really let go and give her all of him?

I loved the two of them together.  If you love their friendship in the first two books then you will fall in love with them as a couple.  I loved how perfectly they fit together.  How easy it is for them to be together, as friends and lovers.  Everything about them and their relationship just seemed so natural.  You cold feel the love that they both had for each there.

What I loved the most about this book is getting to see who Dylan and Rian really are.  We find out why Dylan is so closed off and why he is so afraid of  love.  His past truly broke my heart but at the same time seeing how far he has come put it back together.

We get to see a different side of Riann, the one where she is stronger than you think.  She seems happy and content with her life but we see more of her relationship with her parents and how that has not only affected her throughout her life but as some influence on where she is today.  I as not a fan of her parents at all but seeing the strong and independent Rian stick up for herself just put a smile on my face.

I love the friendships in this series, and we definitely get to see more of the characters who we have love.  It feels like you are a part of their inner circle. The addition of Jax to this group of friends was well done!! I enjoyed the tension that it bought and how it all worked out in the end.  I am looking forward to the remaining books in this series and hoping that Jax gets his story as well.
