About Junk Mail

It all started with a sexy selfie.

Texted to the wrong number.

Oops.

Not my finest moment—but I have nothing to be ashamed of.

She thought I was no better, and I quote, than the knuckle-dragging douche-bags she was never dating again.

It was a stupid dare from a girl I’d met online, but since she’d given me a fake number, I didn’t feel bad that my interests were suddenly focused elsewhere—on the fiery and sharp-tongued, Peyton that I found myself sparring with over text for the rest of the evening.

The following day, my case of mistaken identity came back to bite me in the banana.

When I strolled into the office, I was introduced to Peyton as the new client I needed to win over. The Peyton , in case you're not tracking.

And let’s just say she had my full attention.

Brains? Check.

Beauty? Oh yeah.

And the best part? She hated me on sight.

Dear God, do I love a challenge.

Let the games begin.

Review by Lisa Kane

Josh Hanson has worked like a dog with very little play for the last 4 months. So what harm can come from a little naughty texting on a certain dating (not really dating) site with ButterflyGirl6? It's about time he let off a little steam and a casual hook up is just what he needs right now.

After working my ass off to continue building my company for the past year, I'm a man on the edge. I have my limits, and the desire to pillage and plunder my way through the New York City singles scene is a sharp throb of need that can't be contained any longer.

When his hot little text buddy asks for a shot of his down under, he's game. It takes a little bending in the right direction to get the money shot.

Here we go. Time to lose my dick-pic virginity.

He fires off the pic and then waits...and waits...

Somehow the pic doesn't end up with butterfly girl. It ends up on Peyton Richards phone. Peyton who is a workaholic trying to take her subscription gift business to the next level. The girl who lives with her grandmom. Who is getting more action than she is-that's whose phone Josh's junk pic is on.

Unknown User: Wait. Fuck. You're not ButterflyGirl16, are you?
Peyton: Who? No. I'm definitely not.

These two engage in some witty exchanges, even learning each other's first names. They end the convo, both a little sorry that there won't be any further communication between them.

The next day is a big one for Peyton. She's about to meet with a company that can open up a whole new market for her. Josh's business partner Brody has to hand off a new prospective client due to too much gluten the night before.

You know where this is going, right?

Yep, Josh Hanson meet Peyton Richards. Both can barely take their eyes off each other. Their fantasies didn't even meet the reality of meeting in person. But let's keep the focus on business...yeah right.

This situation is all kinds of fucked up, and I need to unfuck it. Stat.
She stares at me, her nose crinkling. "So, last night...She shakes her head, frustration etched on  her face.

Junk Mail is funny and complicated and has a little bit of angst. Just another hit for Kendall Ryan!

"The point is," Duncan says, "if you really care about a person, you need to let them tell their whole story. Because if you don't, you may be losing them somewhere in the details."
