Simple…right?

Zoey
He doesn’t understand that planning a wedding is a big deal. I’m not a Bridezilla—give me a break. I just know what I want, and everything has to be perfect. After all, I am marrying my Mr. Right.
Aren’t I?
From roomies to lovers, it was an easy transition for Zoey and Drew. It’s only natural that marriage was the next step. Between Drew’s hectic work schedule and Zoey’s obsession with planning the perfect wedding, neither of them expected it to be this hard.
And the only way they knew how to communicate: fight until they’ve started a war.
Will Zoey and Drew manage to set aside their differences and make it to the altar, or is this the end for the perfectly mismatched couple?

ADD TO GOODREADS
It blows my mind to this day how we were roomies for four years and wasted our time screwing other people rather than each other. But I guess, like everything in life, things happen for a reason.
I thought this will be a cute little story about the couple getting engaged and then some crazy wedding planning and finally their wedding. NO angst. Little drama. Just laughs. Wrong!
Drew pops the big question (amongst pineapples and pizza boxes-Zoey's weaknesses) and of course Zoey accepts.
Zoey Richards is going to be my wife.
But life has changed a lot for both of them since they went from room mates to lovers. Gone are the days of weekend long sex and sexy romps.
There were days where I could barely walk because my vagina was on the verge of broken. Seriously, I needed a closed-for-repair sign hanging so I could recover. Drew-being the witty doctor-had an answer for that. Any hole's a goal.
Like any bride she gets a little caught up in the wedding planning and the wedding spending. Drew is an ER doctor and works crazy hours. He's always sleep deprived and when he has some down time, the last thing he wants to hear about is what does he think about the font for the wedding invitations, what color napkins for the reception and what kind of icing for the cake. He and Zoey aren't seeing eye to eye. Not to mention there's a new doctor working in the department with him-she's a single mom with an eye on Drew.
Zoey is like a pressure cooker. She's busy at work, and she's planning this wedding without almost any help from Drew. There's a new guy at work-Slater. He's hot, British, talented and more than a little interested in Zoey. Zoey's flattered by the attention, especially as she's not getting much attention from Drew these days.
Drew and I had barely seen each other due to his gruelling schedule.
The night of their bachelor/bachlorette parties brings lots of trouble. Drew really pissed me off in this part and I wanted to chock him with his scrubs. Should Drew and Zoey get married? Are they attracted to other people? I started to get more than a little nervous at this point, sometimes stories don't end the way you think they will and what you want as a reader isn't what the characters want.
"I think we need a break."
Someone hand me a paper bag so I can control my hyper ventilating.
"Nothing, Drew. There's nothing left to say."
Lines are erased, but are they crossed? Do Drew and Zoey have enough trust in each other to believe what they say, in spite of the way things look? Drew was the poster boy for manwhores. Does a leopard really change it's spots?
Congrats on this story, Ms. Madsen. You kept me guessing until the end and threw some nice little angsty curve balls in this book!
Our foundation, the friendship that began many moons ago, was built on solid ground.

I loved Roomie Wars and when I heard Zoey Richards and Drew had a novella coming out it was a no brainer for me to sign up!

There was plenty more to say yet she walked away, head held high as if her life hadn't fallen into pieces.
