Synopsis

From the moment I met him, I knew he was trouble.

He was reckless, cocky, and everything I shouldn't want.

I had a life all figured out, and Tucker Moore was not a part of the plan.

But somehow I slipped.

One moment I had it all under control.

The next I was spiraling around him, begging him for whatever he would give me.

But as quickly as I fell for him, it all crumbled around us.

Because everything I thought I knew was far from the truth.

There was only one way to fix what we had done.

So I turned my world Bottoms Up.

Kennedy Hayes is a spanx kind of girl. She's semi comfortable with her curves, but still feels insecure about how she appears to other people. Her cheating ex and her malicious crazy family don't help.

They have spent her whole life tearing down her confidence in order to get her to live the life they think she should live. The losers that she seems to attract only add to her self-esteem issues.
“You’re so beautiful for a bigger girl.” I couldn’t tell you how many times I had heard that non-compliment. It baffled me how anyone ever thought they were giving me kudos for managing to be pretty and thick.
But the one thing she is confidant about is her photography. She has real talent and she's slowing building a name for herself. Taking wedding and engagement pictures pays the bills but she loves architectural photography. That's her someday dream job.

But Kennedy isn’t someone who pities herself. That’s one of the things I liked about this character. She is insecure, but she still stands up for herself. (well, if you take her family out of the equation!) She’s worked hard to lose thirty pounds and is doing her best to confront her demons.
After a particularly atrocious day, she literally has a run in with a hot guy (Tucker) who helps to pick up her basket of laundry that was a casualty of their encounter. Said hottie seemed to be fascinated by her Spanx.
I think that was what annoyed me the most about Tucker. The first time I met him, he held one of my most uncomfortable, both literally and figuratively, items of clothing in his hand. While I didn’t have the same stomach that I once did, I still wore my Spanx from time to time to make me feel more comfortable, l and I didn’t need Tucker to be privy to my insecurities.

That garment set off all kinds of contrary feelings in Kennedy and although hot guy is attractive, he’s been put on the shelf by Kennedy as one who shall be avoided.
I was drowning in everything that was Tucker, and I didn’t want him to throw me a floatation device.
Hard to avoid him, since he and his buddy are now living right next door to Kennedy and her bestie Brooke. They are starting a new business and moved from Tennessee. Hot and Southern-score!
Kennedy’s luck is about to change when she is snags a photo shoot for Rock Bottom and new business that is quickly becoming the talk of the town. She and Tucker have become great friends but who will be the first to admit that they both want more than friendship?
If I allowed him to get too close, he would destroy me. I would be bottoms up before I even realized that he had spun my world around.
Bottoms Up is funny and quirky and a great read. There are some secondary characters screaming to have their stories told. Not sure if this is the first in a series, but Liam and Jase and Brooke, not to mention Sophie all are page worthy!
I, Kennedy Hayes, the girl who had never been good enough, the girl who had lived her life riddled with fear of failing, sat in a room filled with greatness.
