4 Star Review by Guest Reviewer Allison East

I loved this book! Alana is a great sheltered character- you can tell she gets stronger as the novel goes on. She has lived on a settlement where there are no men allowed. Though she's had a sheltered life, Alana never comes across as stupidly naive, dumb or annoying. Alana's willingness to continuously step outside her comfort zone made her a respectable female character and someone to admire. She attends a concert with her friend, Kate, and she spots Mitch.

While playing an intimate concert for their most devoted fans, Reckless Beat's lead guitarist Mitch, spots a beautiful woman in the audience who doesn't quite fit the criteria of Super Fan. Oh how I love Mitch! He reminds me of one of my favorite rockers from Olivia Cunning- Brian Sinclair. He is sweet and sensitive, and something about Alana turns him on.

"She stood out like a beacon, her wide eyes and shy smile causing him to lose focus. He could tell she wasn't a show-your-assets-to-get-a-backstage-pass kind of girl. In fact, he didn't think she was a hardcore fan at all. There'd been no screaming, no flashing, and no panties flying at the stage when he smiled at her. Instead of the typical seductive glances he'd grown accustomed to, she gave him a glimpse of her gorgeous dimples and broke eye contact."

My favorite line in this book is- "Damn he had it bad. Even in shades of gray, she was beautiful"   SWOON!

Mitchell convinces Alana to meet him after the concert. Although she is wary, she does go. Unfortunately an incident leaves her in need of help and supervision for a few days. Mitch makes a wonderful caretaker and along the way they cannot fight their growing attraction and attachment. He definitely saves her.

"What is it with you Allie? Why can't I take my mind off you? I can't take a single breath without wishing I was touching you."

Can I just tell you sometimes it is a breath of fresh air to read a novel with almost no angst? Some of the books I've read lately it's the same old- boy meets girl, boy screws it up, another woman enters the picture, boy grovels to girl, they get back together, only to have something from the past rip them apart, and ultimately they get back together. It can be too much back and forth sometimes.

But this novel is heartwarming- and DAMN sexy! The sex scenes were great, and I have to compare to my Brian Sinclair again, Mitch is definitely an alpha male, a great character.

There will also be other books in this series too, I am sure there will be one for each band member- and I am a sucker for a series. I'm especially a sucker for a rock series.  I vote for Blake- he is another member of the band who is close with Mitchell- there is a really hot scene with Mitch, Alana, and Blake. But you will have to read it to find out.
