I have loved this series from the very beginning. It seems with each new duet in this series, Ms. Davies seems to step up her game. I could not wait for Ford's book, because well, he is Ford. Need I say more. But the one thing I guess I did not expect is the woman that would capture his heart. While I should have known, it wa a pleasant surprise for me. Honestly I wonder if this was something I should ave known and I have been living under a rock. Bet regardless, Ford and Belle's story was everything that I love and expect from Abigail Davies and then some.
Belle has ben in love with Ford for her whole life. But he is completely off limits. For one he is twice her age, plus not only does he work for her father, Brody, but they are very close friends. Up until a few years ago he was "Uncle Ford." So it seems weird right for these two to be together? Actually it was quite the opposite. Everything about the two of them felt so right.
Belle is away at school when she got to a club with her friends and runs into Ford. This is such a big mistake. For one she has no business being at a club like that, but mainly because Ford is also undercover right now and seeing Belle could completely blow his cover. When her life at school and Ford's undercover work collides, things start to get dangerous. Brody wants Ford to stay with Belle and protect her until it is all over. But Brody has no idea wha these two have been up to. Protecting Belle just brings them closer together. Belle has always had a special place in his heart but it wasn't until just recently that he sees her in a different light. She is the one woman who can bring him to his knees. He knows that he should stay away but it's easier said that done. He is drawn to her and cannot deny his feelings for her. But at some point Ford will go back home. What happens then?
I loved this book just as much as the first two. Ford and Belle are so good together. The banter between the two of them coupled with the fun and sexy times made for a lighter side of this story. But this book was not all fun and laughter. There are emotional moments as well, some that will shock you, some that will toy with your emotions. And then there is the end!!! Abigail Davies right now I am not happy with you!!!! lol. This is a duet so we all know that it ends with a cliffhanger, but that was not what I expected at all. At that my moment my heart was in my throat and brain was trying to cope with the fact of not only what happened but that I would have to wait to see what happened next! I have my suspicions, but will patiently wait for the second book to find out.
If you have not read this seres, I highly recommend that you start. You do not have to read the other books in this series first but it certainly helps to see the history that these characters have. I loved that we still get to see all the supporting characters that we fell in love with, especially Brody and Lola. Ford and Belle were perfect together. They fit like two perfect pieces of a puzzle. Ford is hot and very protective. He's an alpha male who you will fall in love with. I cannot wait for Tied Bond!
