Synopsis
James Steele leads a complicated life, a life that makes it hard to get close to people. James’ secrets caused him to lose the woman of his dreams, Sasha Crawford. James has now moved on with Tatiana, a lovely woman whom he works with, someone who understands his reasons for secrecy. When Sasha comes back into the picture James will have to make a decision. Will he stay with Tatiana, a woman he has grown to care for? Or step up with explanations for Sasha, the woman he can’t seem to stop wanting?

James has always been very secretive when it came to his job. He would suddenly just pick up and leave not telling anyone where he was going or when he would be back. Unfortunately it was his secret job that cost him the only woman he has ever loved. Sasha and James were in love and had a future together. Until one day when Sasha sees James go into a strange woman's house and assumes he is cheating on her. Without any explanation she leaves. They eventually cross paths again when his brother Chase starts dating her cousin and they end up sharing one last drunken night together. But after that night and what comes afterwards, Sasha decides that she needs to get away and leaves town, without even telling James where she is going.
It's now years later and Sasha knows that she needs to go back home and face the music. She needs to see her friends and family and most importantly James. But when she comes back she isn't alone. She has a secret that she has been keeping from James and now must come clean. When James and Sasha see each other for the first time the love that they have for each other is still there. Neither one of them can deny it. But there are still issues that they need to deal with, one being the fact that James has moved on. But James has never stopped loving her and vows to do everything he can to win her back, to be the family that they were meant to be. Given their past and James' secret job that causes him to leave at the drop of a hat, trust becomes an issue. Especially when there are more secrets that James is not telling Sasha about. Can the love that these two have for each other be enough to overcome the secrets?
I love all the men in this series and honestly I can't really say which brother is my favorite but there is something about James that I always loved. Maybe it was because he was such a mystery. But after reading his story and seeing the real man that he is, finding out about his secret job and how much he loves Sasha, you see how amazing he is. Aside from his sexiness, he is sweet and caring and so loveable. I also loved Sasha's character and the two of them together were perfect. They both loved each other and despite their past, and the secrets and misunderstandings, they both wanted they same thing and fought for it. Ms. Fernando did a wonderful job with their story. I love that we still get to see all the characters from the other books in this series. James had it all! It was fun, sexy, had the right amount of drama, and a few exes that you want to slap. You will fall in love with James and Sasha and root for them to find their way back to each other and build the family they both deserve. A must read!
