Blog Tour: Light in Mourning by Adriane Leigh

Synopsis

They say that madness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results...but what happens when the very person that brought your heart back to life has the ability to shatter it with one confession?

After an explosive affair left their hearts shattered and scarred, Georgia and Tristan are trying for a fresh start. She is determined to take it slow and not repeat the mistakes of the past, while Tristan is willing to throw caution to the wind as long as he has his dark-haired girl in his life...and in his bed.

But Georgia and Tristan can't shelter their love from the outside world, and the moments of exquisite passion they share aren't enough to sustain the relationship. When scars from the past resurface—will their hearts meld together as one? Or will outside forces tear them apart, leaving an empty shell where love and passion once thrived?

4.5 star review by Nicole Lorenzo

Georgia sure made a mess of things last summer. After an explosive affair that almost cost her the love of her life, Georgia and Tristan are trying for a fresh start. Georgia is determined to take things slow this time, but that’s easier said and done when you are dealing with Tristan Howell. The playfulness and passion between them is just as strong as before if not stronger.

“He looked edible. Sex on a stick personified. Just looking at him had my heart thudding. I was lost in him again”
Tristan is thrilled beyond belief to have Georgia back, but he can’t help the nagging feeling that she is going to bolt and go back to Kyle like she has always done in the past. He is determined to do anything in his power to convince her that she belongs to him and he won’t let her go so easy this time.

“Little did I know this girl would find some long-forgotten corner inside my heart and crawl into it. Imprint herself on my soul and refuse to leave.”

Things are starting to look up for Tristan and Georgia as they start to work towards the future they both want for themselves and that they deserve. When painful events from both their pasts come up and threaten their happily ever after they are not sure if they will make it through no matter how much they love each other.

“I’d made some poor decisions last summer, but I was just thankful I’d ended up on the right path, the path that had brought me right here, with him.”

Tristan and Georgia want to spend the rest of their lives together but will they both let their insecurities about their pasts get in the way of their future together??

“I’d do it all again for you. Do it all over again. Go back to the very start. You’re worth every risk.”
Light in Mourning starts off exactly where the epilogue in The Mourning After left off. Told primarily from Tristan’s point of view, you will see a vulnerable and more insecure (but just a sexy and charming) Tristan then we witnessed in the first book. Georgia still dealing with her past scars, draws her strength from the love of Tristan. Together they must face their pasts so they can move forward with their future. Light in the Mourning is a story about, love, trust and hope. Tristan charmed the hell out of me for a second time, and there are plenty of swoon worthy and steamy scenes in this book! I loved that you saw a development of the secondary characters Silas, Justin, Drew and Gavin as well, although they weren’t as present in this story as in the last. This was a great ending to Tristan and Georgia’s story. I thoroughly adored this book and absolutely loved the epilogue!

“There he went again, stealing my breath, except he wasn’t stealing it; I gave it to him freely because he owned me. We owned each other.”
