4 star review by Jen Skewes

Kate Seymour has the gift of the magic "touch".  She knows when two people are meant to be together just by a touch. Kate and her two best friends from college started a match making business together called Kinnection. Together the three of them work to help men and woman find love and their happily ever after.  Unfortunately for Kate, her love life is nothing to brag about.  Kate believes in love and happily ever afters, but she just hasn't been able to find the man who she wants to share her life with.  She has put aside her own love life to concentrate on her business and finding love for other people.

Slade Montgomery is a very sexy divorce lawyer.  He was betrayed by his ex and sees so much drama between married couples through his job, that he basically does not believe in love.....at all.  When his sister Jane tells him that she is moving to a small town in upstate New York, is looking for a new job and sign up for at Kinnections to find love, he is anything but happy.  Slade loves his sister and will do everything to protect her and take care of her.  And in his mind the last things she needs is to join some match making company to find a man.  He is afraid of her getting hurt and not to mention the fact that he thinks Kinnections is a scam.  He decides to go to Kinnections and give them a piece of his mind.  He meets Kate and accuses her of running a business that is a fraud, that there is no such thing as true love and she is just taking people's money and promising them something that won't happen.  To prove her wrong he signs up and decides to go through the whole match making process.  Kate is determined to prove him wrong, to prove that love does exist.  Slade will prove to her that there is no such thing and people are just wasting their money.  But what neither of them planned or expected was to find love.....with each other.

The attraction and connection between Slade and Kate is undeniable.  They have chemistry that neither one of them can deny.  But they are all wrong for each other.  Everything Slade lists that he wants in a woman is opposite of Kate. But when they touch, Kate feels it, that spark between them.  And while she knows what that 'spark' means she tries very hard to ignore it.  Just because her special ability is telling her that they are made for each other, they couldn't be more wrong for each other. Kate continues with the process of finding him the woman for him and Slade goes along with it, but he knows deep down that Kate is the one he wants.  And he is determined to prove it to her.  They both find themselves falling for each other very quickly, and eventually give in to each other and their feelings.  But no matter how hard they fall, the one thing still remains the same.  Slade does not believe in love and Kate is looking for it all; love and the life and happiness that comes with it.  Can Kate make Slade see that love does exist and that they are meant to be together?

I really enjoyed Slade and Kate's story.  There were certainly times where they completely frustrated me.  They are so drawn to each other but every time they seemed to get close one of them would pull away.  Kate knew what she was feeling for Slade but I think she was also afraid of loving someone who didn't believe in love.  Slade wanted Kate, he never denies that much, but he knew he couldn't give her everything that she wanted.  I loved Slade.  He was sexy, charming, and I loved how protective he was of his sister.  He also loved Kate's dog Robert who was a very special part of this story and their relationship as well.  Slade and Kate were perfect together in so many ways.  I wanted them to find happiness together, they just had to get past their beliefs and issues to be able to move forward.  Searching for Someday was a wonderful, light and refreshing read with a touch of magic.  It was quirky in ways, but also one of those feel good love stories that will leave you with a smile in the end.
