Review by Lisa Kane

Indigo Waters grew up in foster homes without a family. She had one a long time ago. But her dad, who she worshipped said goodbye, walked out the door and never came back. Her mom got sick and died and she went into temporary homes. She met Kane in one of them and when they were old enough to leave, they got out. Things were good until they weren't and he started to hit her. Like really hit her. One night it was her or him and he was going to kill her. They wrestled with a gun and she shot him. Wounded, he faced charges and went to jail. But he is getting out and has contacted her to let her know he will find her.

Indigo goes with Eric George, her best friend to start a new life across the ocean. Eric arranges for them to go by way of yacht but once at sea the yacht takes on fire and they have to abandon ship. They had gotten a warning right before that there were pirates in the area, but the authorities thought they were no longer a threat. Wrong. When Eric and Indigo are rescued after being afloat for days, it's only to find that their rescuers are the devils themselves.

Indigo takes one look at their captain, Hendrix and can't help but be attracted to him. He scares her but she is drawn to him. He lets her know that she will come in handy. He owes a debt to someone named Chopper, and when he gives her to him, his debt will be paid. Indigo can't believe that she will be sold as a sex slave. When she fights back he lets her know that Eric (who has been beaten almost to death) will be killed if she keeps struggling.

Once on board she meets two other women. One is Senny, the ship's whore, who makes it clear Hendrix belongs to her. The other is Jess, a compassionate woman of many talents. She has her own reasons for being on this ship. As time goes Hendrix and Indigo find their attraction gets stronger, she hopes that this might change his mind about selling her.

What happens when they eventually give in to their desires? Will Kane ever find her? Hendrix has a lot of secrets and his past sins surface. Will they destroy whatever this is that he and Indigo have between them? These two are combustible with their flaming chemistry. There are multiple sex scenes (one at a meeting with the crew had me salivating and reaching for the ice cubes!) that will have you panting for more! Ms. Jewel can write a steamy love making scene-you know the kind where you cease to hear all back ground noise, where it's just you and the story and the characters!

I really loved this story. Hendrix is a modern day pirate who is an alpha to the extreme. There were lots of unanswered questions for me but this is the first in a three part series so I am hoping more answers lie within the upcoming books pages. Looking forward to the next book!
