When Angel informs Alex he’s the one in need of a much-
deserved lesson, all hell breaks loose as these two type-A
personalities battle it out for control over minds and hearts, and yes, in bed. Not only are they
fighting each other at every turn, but they are also struggling to uphold the convictions they each live by.
It’s unclear who is stronger, but both must discover that to get what they desperately want, they may
have to give a little… or a lot.

Wow! A very easy 5 stars!! This book was hot! I seriously had a smile on my face the entire
time I was reading it. The sexy banter that went on between the two strong headed main
characters; Angel and Alex had me drawn in from the beginning and I couldn’t put the book
down! A little bit of a cliff hanger! Book two is expected spring 2014.
Dr. Angeline Hemming is clinical psychologist working as a criminal profiler during the day
working on cases to be the voice for victims of abuse and hosting a weekly radio show
helping callers with relationship advice. After a bad break-up years prior, Angel kept her
guard up and refused any type a relationship beyond sex. Angel receives a call from a woman
complaining about her boyfriend and the advice Angel gives doesn’t bode well things take a
unexpected turn for her.
Alexander Avery is a very successful business man who does not believe in love. Never
wanting to marry and only keeping a girlfriend for the mutual convenience of sex with
nothing more. When his best-friend Darian informs him that his girlfriend called the station
complaining, Alex gets angry when he hears the opinion given of him.
Furious with the opinion Angel has voiced about him over the air, Alex calls into the station.
Things really start to percolate when Alex argues about Angel's opinions on love,
relationships and intimacy. The banter between the two really heats up. It's when Darian
interferes and takes Alex to a bar that Angel is at with a friend, the chemistry explodes.
Although these two deny it.
Did you ever meet someone and something indefinable happened? I mean, you
felt an instant shock run over your skin at just a look from the person or the
slightest touch from his hand? You couldn't control it. Immediately, all your
girly parts stood at attention, despite the fact that you knew things about his
behavior you didn't particularly like? Yet, he sucked you in with his
eyes...something about him was irresistible? Oozing sex and muscled
perfection...Were you a helpless, quivering mess?
Even when she denies that’s how she feels, Alex doesn’t, and he pursues her. Angel
continues to fight him; keeping a wall in place. The two have past and present issues to
overcome and it’s pretty steamy during the ride!
Well worth the loss of sleep reading this story!! Will they continue to deny that that are
perfect for each other or will they allow their pasts to hold them back? Excellent read!!
