Four years ago, my dreams were shattered in an instant.
Three months ago, I found something I haven’t had in years.
Hope.
That hope came in the form of a sexy, carefree hockey player named Brody Murphy. He swooped in and won me over with his big heart and the way he cared for me…and my girls. When they look at him, they see the father they’ve never had.
Now, my past and present are colliding and the outcome might just be too much for me to bear. Can I make the right decision when I’ve spent my whole life making the wrong ones?
5 Fantastic Stars by Jen Skewes
I absolutely loved Room For You. But that one word at the very end left me
with me in shock thinking "Holy Crap are you kidding me?" So to say I was excited to
read Room For More is a complete understatement. Room For More is one book that I could not
get my hands on fast enough. While I was
so excited to read it there was also a small part of me that was very
nervous. I wasn’t sure how this was
going to go. Well let me say that
Room for More was amazing. It was
everything I could have hoped for and more.
Beth Ehemann did not disappoint with this book.
When we first met Kacie she was a single mom of twin girls
who had been hurt by love in the past.
The hurt and pain that she felt years ago caused her to put walls up and be afraid to give love another try. But
after meeting Brody Murphy that all changed.
She fell in love with an amazing man and had everything she could have
hoped for. Until her past unexpectedly
walked back into her life again. Zack is
back and that means that Kacie has some decisions to make. Some very difficult decisions and while I may
not have been happy with one of them I completely understood. Her past is about to collide with her future
and I think that fear started to take over.
Fear of losing what she had. I
loved Kacie and regardless of some of her decisions she is a very strong and
independent young woman. She certainly
struggled with her decisions but she also knew that despite everything that
happened to her in the past she had to think of her girls and what was best for
them and I completely admired her for that.
Let's talk about Zack! I can honestly say that I did not hate
him as much as I thought that I would. I
didn’t fall in love with him either or really feel sorry for him that much but
I didn’t hate him. I mean the truth is
he left Kacie and his beautiful twin girls by leaving a note. Is it even possible to forgive someone for
doing that? Zack made mistakes and there
is a moment where he made a decision that I honestly respected him for, because
at that moment I think he owned his mistake and realized what he lost. So
no I didn’t love him but I tolerated him and was happy with the decisions
made.
Of course I am saving the best for last and we all know that the best is Brody. He is just pure
perfection in every way ( I mean read the excerpt below and you will see how mazing he is). Brody Murphy is real and genuine and so is the love that he has to give. He loves Kacie something fierce. The love and devotion he has for her and the
Twinkies will completely melt you heart.
He is truly an amazing man who loves those girls as if they were his
own. He would do anything to protect
Kacie and her girls. But Brody’s love was not just about Kacie and
the girls. He is a family man and he
loves his parents and his sister. They
are just as important to him as Kacie and the twinkies. Some people love the bad boy hero who has no
relationship with his parents and is so damaged by his childhood. But for me I love a sexy hot athlete who has
a close relationship with his family and would do anything to protect
them. That just makes them sexier in my
book. Especially when that sexy athlete
is Brody Murphy. That man is sexy, adorable, loving, sweet, totally swoon worthy and completely amazing in every way. And if you thought you loved him in Room For You, just wait. I didn’t think it was possible but I fell in
love with him even more.
Room for More was simply fantastic. As I mentioned earlier I was a little nervous
about reading this one because I was not sure where this story would go. There were so many questions running though
my head. What will happen with Zack? Will she forgive him? Will he want Kacie back and if so will he get what he wants? How will Zack being back
affect Kacie and Brody? Will they live
happily ever after and have little Brody’s?
See I drove myself nuts with all the scenarios in my head. And no I am not going to go into any further
detail regarding the story itself or what happens because that is something
that you will have to find out for yourself.
There is a lot to this story that I do not want to give away. But I will say that every minute of this book
was amazing, from the first page to the very last. I devoured this book in one sitting because I just could not put it down. You will fall in love with Kacie and Brody
all over again!
Brody and Kacie certainly have some obstacles to overcome. Obstacles that may test their relationship and their love. What I loved about this story is how real and true to life it was. The obstacles that they faced were never too much or over the top. They were obstacles that I think a lot of people can relate to and have dealt with in their own life. There was the perfect blend of drama, angst, and romance. There were even a few twists in there that I did not see coming that caused an uneasy feeling in my stomach. I got a little choked up at times and even cried on more than one occasion. And then there were those sweet and innocent moments where you will completely melt. I have become so passionate about Brody, Kacie and the twinkies. I was completely caught up in their world as if I was a part of it. I felt every emotion that they went through, from fear, to frustration to love and devotion. I was so passionate about this series that every time I thought about this book I got butterflies in my stomach. I think when you become that passionate about a love story such as Brody and Kacie’s it has everything to do with the story and the author who wrote it. Beth Ehemann has quickly become one of my “go to” writers, because I WILL READ ANYTHING that she writes. Her writing is flawless and she writes in such a way that you will be completely engrossed in this love story that you just want to ignore everything around you. She has created characters that you will simply fall in love with. Characters that you wish for just one moment you could hang out with. You will become wrapped up in this story and never want to put it down. It was that awesome!
Room For More is the perfect conclusion to Kacie’s
story. It will completely capture your
heart in so many ways. From the sexy
hockey player to the two adorable and loveable Twinkies. You will laugh, cry, completely swoon and end
up with a smile on your face for days. And the epilogue was fantastic and complete genius. Beth Ehemann scored a hat trick with this one - sorry I just couldn't resist the hockey reference. But anyway the message here is; READ THIS BOOK. I promise you will not regret it. But make sure to read Room For You first. Amazing, amazing job by Ms. Ehemann.
Just as a side note I am so excited for Viper’s story. While he is a complete man whore I saw a
sweet side of him in Room For More and loved how he was there as the voice of
reason for his friend.
“Good
morning!” I bounced into the kitchen.
“Hi?”
Mom said, turning to face me from the stove. “What’s with you today? You’re
unusually perky.”
“Nothing.
Just excited to see Brody tonight.” The girls had already finished eating and
were coloring at the island as I walked over and kissed them on the tops of
their heads.
Mom
rolled her eyes and chuckled. “It’s only been a couple days since you two have
seen each other.”
“I
know.” I went over to the stove and scooped up some scrambled eggs on my plate
before I sat with Lucy and Piper at the island. “I’m pathetic.”
“A
little, but it’s sweet.” She winked at me.
“Wait!
Before I get too excited, is there a guest room available tonight?”
Mom
turned back from the stove with a blank look on her face and stared at me.
After a second she pulled her brows in and tilted her head to the side
suspiciously. “Did he not tell you?”
I
was confused. “Tell me what?”
A
slow grin grew on her face and she slowly shook her head. “Oh, that boy. You
better hold on to him, Kacie.”
“What
are you talking about?”
“When
he told me about you being uncomfortable, um—” She glanced at the girls and
back at me. I could tell she was trying to speak in code because of them. “—being
roommates at night, I told him that he was welcome to a guest room anytime he
wanted one. I said I’d save one for him.” She walked over to the island and put
her hand on her hip while I continued shoveling eggs into my mouth. “He
insisted I not be out any money because of all this, so he prepaid for one
guest room for an entire year. Three hundred and sixty-five nights.”
My
mouth fell open as my fork dropped to the plate, making a horrible clanging
noise. “He paid for a whole year?”
She
nodded. “A whole year. He’s crazy about you, Girl, and clearly confident in
your relationship—at least for a year.”
“Be
right back!” I jumped off the stool and ran to my bedroom, grabbing my phone
off the nightstand.
YOU
PAID FOR A WHOLE YEAR?!?!?
My
foot tapped impatiently for two minutes, waiting for his response. Finally, my
phone beeped.
B:
YOU TALKED TO YOUR MOM, HUH?
WHY
DIDN’T YOU TELL ME?
B:
WHAT? AND MISS THIS MOMENT? ARE YOU KIDDING? SURPRISING YOU IS ONE OF MY
FAVORITE THINGS IN THE WORLD, KACIE. WELL, THAT AND WATCHING THE LOOK ON YOUR
FACE WHEN YOU COME.
