4 Star Review by Jen Skewes
This is the third and final installment in the One Night
trilogy. I could not wait to see how
Livy and Miller’s story ended. I knew
it would be a bumpy ride and I was also
hoping to get the answers to the questions that I had. One Night:
Unveiled was filled with drama, angst, suspense and romance. And it was the prefect ending to this series.
The story picks up exactly where book 2 left off. Miler and Liv are running from Miller’s life
back in London. I don’t want to give too
much away especially since some people may not have read the first two
books. Miller’s world before meeting
Livy seemed to be a bit dark. He has a past that we know is haunting and one that has caused him to be
the man that he is today. Liv has
brought light into his world, makes him want to be better and most of all wants
to leave his “job” behind him. But
trying to get out of Miller’s world proves to be very difficult and very
dangerous. They are currently in New
York, trying to escape it all but something happens that brings them back to
London. When they go back they realize
that they cannot just run and expect it all to go away. They need to fight and fight hard. They need to fight for their love, for each
other and but also for their lives.
If anyone deserves to find happiness it is definitely Liv
and Miller. They both grew up in similar
worlds and while Livy has managed to escape her past Miller is still dealing
with his. Miller has found one thing
that he has never had before and that is love.
And he is not about to lose Livy.
He will do anything to keep her safe and to never let her go. I always knew how much he loved Livy but we see his passion and just how much she means to him in this installment. I love Miller and I loved his passion for
her. He is sexy and dominating but when
with Livy on occasion you see this sweet and fun side make its way out. Livy is still Livy and sometimes takes things
into her own hands when she shouldn’t but I loved her. I think she is one strong woman and her love
for Miller is what makes her do things before thinking.
I loved this book but will admit that at times it was a bit
slow for me, more so in the first half of the book. And I think the sex scenes were a bit
repetitive and there could have been a little less of them. But overall I really enjoyed this book. The second half picked up and I found myself
on the edge of my seat wondering what will happen next. At times I was unsure as to whom I could
trust. I wondered how did everyone fit
into this story and when the twists and turns came I was shocked. I never saw them coming and that is what I
love about Jodi’s writing. She always
manages to surprise you when it comes to the plot twist. The epilogue was fantastic and gave us so
much more than I would have expected. Nan
was a big part in this one and I loved her.
And that woman is not as stupid or fragile as you would think. Gregory is back and I was so happy to see
these two still had the closeness that I loved.
And surprisingly I actually loved William. No matter how much him and Miller did not get
along you see that he has Livy’s best interest at heart. Another wonderful job my Ms. Malpas.
