Synopsis: What happens when a single mom’s four-year-old daughter falls in love with Mr. Right and she doesn’t?
Maggie Tyson’s rule: no bad boys. Her incarcerated ex-husband broke her of that attraction. Needing to escape his threats and the scrutiny of the people in her hometown, Maggie relocates to New York City. Determined to not make the same mistakes, she has a mile-long list of dos and don’ts. Unfortunately, her daughter, Cecily, doesn’t like to follow them. When Cecily wanders away from her and right into Rick Stone’s office, Maggie knows he’s the exact type she’s been trying to avoid. Can she resist him or will she succumb to his willful charm?
Rick Stone’s rule: bed them don’t wed them. Running a multi-billion dollar business doesn’t leave him with much time to do anything else, particularly with an overbearing grandfather breathing down his neck. But when a man works hard, he needs to play even harder. Voted America’s most eligible bachelor, Rick doesn’t have any problems getting women into his bed—except one.
Two auburn beauties stumble into his life.
One will break his heart.
The other—heal it.
Will he love or leave them?

So this blurb got me out of the gate. A friend of mine was going through the single parent books, so this way right on cue.
What happens when a single mom’s four-year-old daughter falls in love with Mr. Right and she doesn’t?
Maggie Tyson’s doesn’t do bad boys. Well now she doesn’t, before she did and that landed her as single mom with an incarcerated ex-husband. Needing a fresh start she moves to New York City. She has one thing and one thing on her mind and that is to make sure that her daughter Cecily is taken care of.

When Cecily wanders away from her mom at her office she comes face to face with the bad boys of bad boys. This guy could give classes on how to be the bad guy.
Rick Stone’s rule: bed them don’t wed them. Running a multibillion dollar business doesn’t leave him with much time to do anything else, particularly with an overbearing grandfather breathing down his neck.
He is the ultimate wham bam thank you for calling ma’am kind of guy. When he first spots the little girl searching for her hamster he is speechless. Not knowing where this kid came from or how to get rid of her he does what any adult would do; he starts searching for a lost hamster.
When circumstances constantly push them together it is hard for Cecily not to fall for this man. She wants him in her life, just one problem- her mom doesn’t, she fights him tooth and nail.
This is where I really started to dislike the heroine. She was just so wishy washy. It almost gave me whiplash with the I love you, I love you not. I want to kiss you, I shouldn’t kiss you. I want you in my life, please don’t call me. I mean come one I actually wanted to go into the book and say Rick move on.
So not only does Rick have to fight with Maggie to believe in him, he has to fight his stuck up old grandfather. It just felt that so much was being hurled at them. I found myself skimming just trying to get to the end.
