Jordana Albanese grew up in a world spun with lies, secrets, and multiple sins. Her father, Gene—reigning king in the Mafia for the last decade—never protected her from his underworld dealings—La Cosa Nostra. She learned at a young age that in order to survive in her world, one must be dominant. She wore the shield of control on a daily basis, but she deeply yearned to slip it off and dispose of it. Except, letting it go would mean letting it all go. And she didn’t want that. She learned of a compromise—where she could only let go of control in private, behind a closed door, while receiving orders from him. Not simply to be controlled, but to be dominated. The only problem was that her ambitions cut bone deep. Deeper than a belt across her ass. Deeper than the marks from the restraints he used to subdue and pleasure her. The permanent marks left were not visible to the human eye. They were profound wounds—scars—on her soul that only she could experience and draw strength from.
And that’s where she found the perfect balance in the two. Her submissive tendencies served her well in the bedroom. While in public, she was every bit as dominant as her male counterparts.

Review by Jen Skewes
When I first read the synopsis for this book I was
intrigued. A mob story mixed in with
erotica and romance. How could I not
want to read this? But at the same time
I was not sure what to expect at all.
Would I be able to fall in love with the hero as I so often did when
reading? Or would he be the
stereotypical mafia guy who would make decisions that would cause me to hate
him? After reading this book I will say
that I fell in love with Stefan and this book was so different from what I
expected it to be, but in a really good way.
Jordana and Stefan both come from the same world. A world filled with crime, lies, betrayal,
and murder. Jordana is the princess of
the Albanese family while Stefan is to one day be the head of the Gionatti
family. There families are rivals but
Jordana and Stefan are anything but.
What started out as a sexual relationship turned into love for the two
of them. And now they must figure out a
way to keep their love a secret until Stefan can move forward with his plan,
which includes Jordana being by his side every step for the way. Betrayal and trust is a big thing in their
world and loving someone that you are supposed to hate causes some trust issues
btweeen Jordana and Stefan. Jordana
needs to trust Stefan and believe in their love in order for this to work. But you have to ask, how can two people whose
families are enemies really make a life together? Can this really work? Can Jordana trust Stefan and really believe
that they have a future together?
I loved this book for several reasons, one of them being
Stefan. He was nothing of what I
expected and everything that I loved.
Yes he is a controlling alpha
male, and ruthless in some ways, and while he is very dominating in the bedroom
you see another side of him The side
that loves Jordana and will do anything to keep her safe. I loved how much he cared for her and what he
was willing to do to protect her and build a life with her.
Jordana was not your typical mafia princess. She was strong, confident, defiant at times and had
power. She hated the way the men treated
their women and she did not want to be them.
We have all watched the mafia shows on TV and know what a woman’s role
in the mafia world is, but that was not Jordana. And to be honest what I loved is that Stefan was
not the man to make her play that role.
She was it for him and he wanted her by his side not in the kitchen,
pregnant and barefoot with his baby. She
had a certain amount of control and power but when she was with Stefan in the
bedroom she was able to give all of that up and let him dominate her. He is exactly what she needed and wanted and
that is what made these two perfect for each other. They had amazing chemistry and in ways
balanced each other out. And together
they were hot and sexy.
This book had drama, and angst. It was sexy and hot. But there was also a beautiful love story
beneath it all. It did not matter that these
two were supposed to hate each other.
They weren’t supposed to fall in love.
But not of that mattered. The
only thing that was important was there love and the way they made each other
feel.
The writing was fantastic and Ms. Harper and Ms. Whitney made
me feel with these characters. There was
a moment in the book where something happened that was completely unexpected. In trying to save her brother Jordana came up
with a plan, but at the time she had no
idea that she made a deal with the devil himself. And my God was he the devil. In that moment these two authors made me feel
everything that she went through. This is a warning that there are some dark
moments in this book. But I think that Leddy Harper
and Gina Whitney handled those moments extremely well. They gave you enough to know what was going
on and make you feel the pain, the disgust, and the hurt. But it was never too over the top where you
could not go on. I sat there hoping and
praying that it would end so that both her and myself did not have to go
through it any more. That is how much
this book made me feel.
I loved Stefan and Jordana
and was sad to see their story end.
I would love more of them in the future and would love to see how Matty
is doing. So yes I am basically saying
that I would love to read more from this awesome writing duo. While
I did love this book and the storyline, I felt that there was something
missing. I was waiting for the other
shoe to drop and when it didn’t I felt like I missed something. Or maybe that's just because in books this is
the moment we seem to expect and wait for. But regardless I loved it and highly recommend this book to others and
look forward to more from these amazing authors.

“Don’t worry, Tesoro. I’ll make you forget,” he whispered as he stared into my eyes. Still seated deeply, he began to move. The sensation of him inside of me…filling me…overwhelmed and yet completed me in one thrust of his hips.
His fingers gripped my waist painfully—but I relished in the pain, knowing Stefan was the one causing it, and wanting more. However, I didn’t push my luck. He gave, and I graciously accepted.
“Say my name,” he demanded.
“Stefan.” I was confused, but played along, trusting him like he’d asked me to.
“Say it again.”
“Stefan.”
“Who are you with?”
“You.”
“Who’s inside you right now?”
“You are.” That’s when I realized his intent. He wanted to remind me, force me to acknowledge that I was with him, not Zeke. I was safe and protected. He would not hurt me, and I had nothing to fear.
“Tell me who you belong to. Who this pussy belongs to.” He circled his hips methodically, punctuating his words.
“I’m yours. My pussy is yours.”
“No one else’s.”
“No one else’s,” I repeated his words back to him.
His lips attacked my neck—sucking, kissing, licking. “Tell me you’ll never offer yourself to anyone else ever again. No matter the reason. No matter what.”
This was what I craved—him between my legs, deep inside of me, his demanding mouth on my body. Endorphins dizzily swirled deep within me, making me forget the torment my body had been through for days. “It’ll never happen again. No matter what.”
“That’s fucking right.” He pumped deeper and my eyes rolled back. “Eyes on me, Tesoro,” he said gruffly. Sweat began to bead above his brow, and the sounds we made together were downright primal, carnal. He then began to push into me—harder, more forcefully and steadily—until my pussy began to milk his cock. “Oh, fuck. The way your pussy grips my cock… I will never get tired of feeling that.” He began to move at a blurring speed. His dirty mouth rested against my ear, spewing filth. The kind of filth that lifted me, not degraded me.
He reached down, carefully bending my leg up against my body for a better angle. Pain pinched in my thighs, but the way his hand caressed the ache, as if he knew it was there, soothed it. He ground himself into a screaming orgasm, the soreness in my battered canal bringing me my own pleasure. Instinctively, I reached out to him, needing to grab onto him, to anchor myself to him in some way. I began to free-fall and I didn’t doubt he’d catch me. His eyes met mine and something passed between them. I didn’t know what, though. He removed my hand, quickly kissing it.
Leddy Harper
Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.
She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
