Review: Bring Me Back by Micalea Smeltzer

NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR
I could have put the typical blurb here.
Boy meets girl.
They fall in love.
Live happily ever after.
The end.
But this isn’t THAT story.

Review by Jen Skewes

Bring Me Back is a beautiful and emotional journey that will pull at your heartstrings and stay with you for days.  It is a heartbreaking story about love, second chances and healing but also one that will touch your heart in so many ways.

I do not want to say too much about this book because saying too much will give it all away.  I will say that I loved this book and the characters that Ms. Smeltzer created.  Blaire is the heroine and I loved this girl.  While she may not have seen it she was so strong in many ways.  She was such a loveable character who my heart broke for over and over again. I wanted nothing than for her to find the happiness that she deserved.

Blaire wasn't the only person in this book that I loved or made a difference.  Ben was such an amazing man.  He was sweet and caring and just a beautiful person inside and out.  Ryder was sweet and patient and completely understanding.  Both men played very important roles in Blaire’s life and while I cannot say how I can say that I loved them both.  And I loved what they both brought to her life.  One gave her love and happiness while the other not only gave her the same but also helped her to heal and find her way again.

This is one of those books that will stay with you.  It touched my heart in so many ways, whether my heart was breaking or being pieced back together again.  Either way the entire journey was worth it all.  I was left with a whole and happy heart in the end.  This is by far one of Micalea’s best books and I have read almost all of them.  If you read any of her books read this one.  It is so different from her other books but so amazing.  It will give you all of the feels and you will experience all of the emotions with these characters.  What an absolute beautiful story that touched my heart.
