Synopsis
I’m the crazy fun one. Pedal to the floor, balls to the wall, party all weekend guy.
The guy everybody calls for laughs and a good time.
And I always deliver.
So, when Ainsley Winslow and I made a pact for a summer fling, I was all in.
What hot-blooded college male doesn’t jump at the chance for a no strings attached relationship? Not this one.
Then summer drew to a close, and I found myself wanting time to move slower. Ainsley Winslow is a girl of her word. When fall inevitably came, she vanished.
She no longer answered my calls, my texts or my knocks on her door. After the silence continued, I questioned what I was doing and who had I become. I am Braxton Brentwood…this isn’t me. Time to move on and get the party started again. And I did.
Until our paths crossed again, and I remembered what we had. She wasn’t getting away a second time because our game just went into Extra Innings.

Review by Jen Skewes
I really loved this book. We first met Brax in Rounding Third and given his past I was really looking forward to his story. Michelle Lynn quickly became one of my favorite authors a few years ago after reading Collaboration and since then I have read everything that she has written. I love her writing, and the characters she creates. I always like that her books are sweet and sexy with just the right amount of drama and angst. And this one was no different.
Brax is the captain of his baseball team and his biggest
decision right now is whether or not he should enter the draft or wait until
after his final year of college.
Baseball is his passion and it has been his dream to play in the major
leagues. While his is great ball player
he is also great with the ladies. He is
the epitome of a ladies man, living the lifestyle of the college baseball
player who could turn pro, so of course when he walks into a room the guys want
to be him and the ladies want to be in his bed.
While he loves the attention he gets from these girls, they are nothing more than a one
night stand. He is not the relationship
kind of guy and loves living the life he is currently living. Until he meets Ainsley, the one girl who could
make him want it all.
Ainsley is pre-med and her studies are what's most important to her. She has taken on the role of
mother to her younger brother who is in high school. Her main focus is school and providing for
them. When she meets Brax she knows that
she shouldn’t feel anything for him. She
does not need a love life right now and being a baseball player also turns her
off. But maybe Brax is different or
maybe they can have a no strings attach fling and have some fun in the
summer. That is exactly what they do and
when the summer ends so does their relationship.
It is months later an these two are brought together
again. Brax knows what he wants. Letting Ainsley go in the first place was a
mistake. He is not going to let this
second chance with Ainsley slip away. He
will do what it takes to prove to her that they are meant to be.
Ainsley is not so sure that things will work out with
Brax. She is scared to death to go there
with him but she slowly gives into him.
Not being able to control her feelings, even though her fears and
insecurities may get in the way. Can
Brax prove to her that the belong together, that despite their passion and
their dreams they can make it work?
I really loved Brax and Ainsley together. He is just one of
those swoon worthy men that you cannot help but love. Yes he was a ladies man but maybe given his
past, there was a reason for that. Maybe
it also took the right woman to open him up to love. I always love seeing a playboy find that woman who helps him to open up his heart fall in love. I love that you get to see the true man behind the playboy exterior. Brax truly is a man with a heart.
I loved that we get to the see Ella and Crosby from the
first book and it warmed my heart so see how the three of them still had that
strong bond. But it was also the
friendship that Ella formed with Ainsely that I loved. The supporting characters also played an
intricate part in this story. I am
hoping that we see more of Ainsley brother and cousin in the future and more of
the sexy baseball players. Extra Innings,
was a fun, sweet and sexy read. It’s
just one of those love stories that make you feel good, the kind where you feel
the love and passion between the characters.
It is a great story about love and friendship. Another fantastic job by Ms. Lynn

Michelle moved around the Midwest most of her life, transferring from school to school before settling down in the outskirts of Chicago ten years ago, where she now resides with her husband and two kids. She developed a love of reading at a young age, which helped lay the foundation for her passion to write. With the encouragement of her family, she finally sat down and wrote one of the many stories that have been floating around in her head. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found playing with her kids, talking to her mom on the phone, or hanging out with her family and friends. But after chasing around two kindergarteners all day, she always cherishes her relaxation time after putting the kids to bed.Connect with Michelle
