Release Blitz: Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland

The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.

He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.

When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.

You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.

He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.

Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.

Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.

Oops. My mistake.

Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.

I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?

That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.

Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.

I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.

Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.

This was going to be interesting…

“We all make mistakes. Life doesn’t come with instructions. Someone who loves you will forgive you for them. But when you hide them or lie about them, they’re no longer mistakes-they’re decisions.”
Rachel Martin bartends/ waitresses at a local watering hole in New York. Her best friend Ava, just caught her new boyfriend in a lie-seems he has been hiding the fact that he’s married with kids. He has the balls to be in the same bar that Ava and Rachel work in and Rachel can’t help but give him a piece of her mind. He might be gorgeous, but he’s still a cheating snake.
“Well, I really hope karma bites you in the ass someday, that your pretty little wife winds up fucking half of New York and passes you an STD that makes your big dick fall off.”
Turns out those fighting words are for the wrong guy. Karma is about to bite someone in the ass, only this time it’s gonna be Rachel. Her new job as a TA to a professor teaching music composition is for non-other than Professor Caine West, the same gorgeous guy she told off. He has a reputation for being a hard ass and despises lateness. Being late is a way of life for Rachel. Sparks fly, banter is exchanged-can bodily fluids be next?
This is not your usual student/teacher romance. Rachel isn’t his student and the lust between them isn’t really the core of the story. Lines intersect, and there is great irony to the plot.
“Find a penny, pick it up, and all day long you’ll have good luck.”
Rachel has moved on from her childhood; she won’t let herself be defined by the time in her life where she had no power in her life. Caine has spent a lifetime regretting things he did and mostly things he should have done. Two people who blame themselves for things that were out of their control. When all the ugly truths come out-is it forgiveness from each other they need or from themselves?
“You have zero reasons to want to trust me or give me another chance, but I have to try.”
