I absolutely loved this book.  I have read plenty of Ms. Lynn’s books in the past and think that this is my new favorite.  It is one of those books that from the moment you start reading you never want to put it down. You want to stay up through all hours of the night so you can finish the story, but because life gets in the way you have no choice but to go to sleep.   But from the moment you wake up, the first thing you want to do is immerse yourself back in the lives of Rebecca and Cooper.   I loved them, I loved their story and I loved everything that this book made me feel.

Rebecca recently lost her husband and right now all she wants to do is take care of her family ranch.  She has more or less been hiding and keeping herself busy with the farm.  So when her uncle calls her, wanting to send one of his clients to her ranch for the summer to escape the Hollywood life,  it’s the last thing she needs right now.  But it’s her uncle who she loves dearly and just cannot say no. 

Cooper is a big time, award winning Hollywood actor who has recently be going through his own hell.  He needs time away from it all to mend his broken heart, escape the paparazzi, and just be able to think on his own without all of the drama that comes along with his life.  So his agent sends him to Kansas to help out his niece's her farm. 

Rebecca has no time for movies or TV so she really has no idea who he is or how hot he is.  When Cooper meets Rebecca for the first time, she is the last thing he ever expected. She’s absolutely beautiful, but he is not here for love.  Cooper is the last thing that she needed but she could use the help.  Neither one of them expected to form the friendship that they had, but there was so much more to them than that.  There was a physical attraction but also an emotional connection.  The both of them going through their own hell, that they are trying to move on from, therefore in ways, understanding what the other is experiencing.  Can they both find a way to move on and heal each other in the process?  Will they both push aside their fears and be able to love again?

This book was simply amazing in every way.  This is a beautiful story about second chances, moving on and learning to love and trust again.  Cooper may be a Hollywood star but he is the most genuine, down to earth, and caring guy that you could ever meet.  The way he embraced farm life, had the utmost amount of patience where Rebecca was concerned, was caring and sexy all in one, made him the complete package.  I loved the pace of this story.  I never felt like things were progressing too fast.   Laurel had a lot of baggage fears and insecurities and the way they were handled, the pace that it took her to come to terms with everything was on point.  This book will just make you smile most of the way.  You will fall in love with both Rebecca and Cooper.  The supporting characters played such a huge role in this story and I hope that we get to see more of them.  Don’t miss out on this one.  A beautiful story that I could read over and over again!!!
