Review: Tripping on a Halo by Alessandra Torre

It’s really hard to save a guy’s life when he keeps running from you...
You might be asking yourself why I’m waving an inflatable penis in the air and screaming at the top of my lungs. If I took time to explain, Declan Moss would get hit by a bus.
Let me back up. I didn’t ask for this. I was perfectly happy—and perfectly sane—before I stumbled into the role of Declan’s guardian angel. It was a thankless job until the moment that my panties dropped and his delicious smirk found his way in between my thighs.
Hello, toe-curling ecstasy. Goodbye, professional boundaries. And suddenly, there’s a new danger to avoid: the falling of my heart.

Review by Lisa Kane

Autumn is on a life saving mission. She's out to save Declan Moss. Save him from what you ask? Well she just feels something is horrible is about to happen to him. She recently lost her mom and about two weeks after that there was a small plane crash in her sister's neighborhood. Autumn had a feeling, something compelled her to let out a dog from a yard who then went after a jogger. A jogger who was headed right in the path of the falling plane. So you see, she saved Declan Moss. Now it's her mission to make sure nothing horrible happens to him.

"I'm keeping him safe. That's it."
"Find a different hobby," she urged. "Something that isn't going to get you thrown in jail."

Declan has no idea why this girl keeps following him. What is the deal with her? He just wants to get over his break up with his cheating girlfriend. He's trying to put himself back out there, but every time he turns around, there she is.

It wasn't just Nicola and Margaret. His life seemed to be cursed when it came to women. Take this blond girl, screaming nonsense on the street yesterday and lurking behind corners and menus every time he seemed to turn around.

Eventually, the day of reckoning) or of them finally coming face to face comes.

"You're going to think I'm crazy."
"I hate to break it to you, but that boat sailed a long time ago."

Autumn tries her best to explain why she's his guardian angel.

He didn't get it. Go figure that I was protecting some eye candy who turned out to be dumb as a bag of rocks.

There just might be some wicked chemistry between these two. And some romps between the sheets. And some swearing off of any future romping. But the best laid plans...

In that moment, I didn't want to protect Declan Moss. I wanted him to want me. To take my heart as his own. I wanted to feel, and be unafraid, and to trust in him to protect me.

Now their relationship has some real twists and turns. Yep, buckle up those seats and just enjoy the ride!

"Then let's talk about our future. Your dreams." He ran his hand gently across the top of my head. "I want to make all of them come true."
