Synopsis
Life was chaotic and unpredictable; made up of a series of events—a collection of firsts.
First crush.
First kiss.
First love.
Between the murky waters, I’d found salvation. And it was all because of him—the broody alpha who appeared at the time I needed him most.
He promised me things, and showed me the life I could have.
But all it took was one moment to destroy everything.
Nothing else mattered.
No one else mattered.
It was him and me against the world.
Until it wasn’t.
I hadn’t known just how forbidden our love was.
I hadn’t known I’d been tutoring his son.
I hadn’t known about the family he had hidden away.
I hadn’t known he was cheating—with me.
I wish I could say I wanted to take it all back, but it’d be a lie.
A blatant lie.
He was my biggest downfall, but I’d never regret it.
Choosing him was never an option, the question was whether he’d risk it all.

Review by Jen Skewes
After that shocking twist that left us hanging in Free Fall I could not wait to find out what happened net. After I picked my jaw up off the floor I dove right in and devoured Down Fall. I read this book in one sitting and when it was all over, I wanted more. Not because it left me unsatisfied but because I loved Brody and Lola so much that I never wanted it to end. The next day I was left with a major book hangover, and went back to read some of my favorite parts. That is how amazing this series is.
At the end of book 1 we learn that there is a lot more to Brody than we all thought. Yes we knew that he was an undercover agent, but we never expected to find that he has a whole other life outside of his job. One that completely ruined what he had with Lola and hurt her more than he could have imagined. Brody plans on finishing the job and then get back to his regularly scheduled life. Except he cannot get someone off his mind. He has always been the man that he was expected to be, since cleaning up his act. But now he realizes that things have changed, maybe he has changed, but regardless he knows that his life without Lola in it is just not what he wants. He has hurt her so much, can she even find it in her heart to forgive him, and trust him again?
This duet was beautifully written. It is filled with drama and angst, but it never seems over the top. The chemistry between Lola and Brody was evident from the start, but it was so much more to their relationship than that. You just felt the passion and intensity. I wasn't sure how this story would end, which turns the author would take us on. I knew that if these two would end up together, that it would be a very bumpy ride, and it was exactly that. A roller coaster ride filled with emotions, lops and turned, ups and downs. And I loved every minute of it. Every emotion I felt, every time my heart broke, it was al worth it!!! If you love angst, forbidden romances and twists and turns, then this duet is for you. Amazing!!! I cannot wait for Cade's book.

About the Author
Abigail Davies grew up with a passion for words, storytelling, maths, and anything pink. Dreaming up characters--quite literally--and talking to them out loud is a daily occurrence for her. She finds it fascinating how a whole world can be built with words alone, and how everyone reads and interprets a story differently. Now following her dreams of writing, Abigail has found the passion that she always knew was there. When she's not writing: she's a mother to two daughters who she encourages to use their imagination as she believes that it's a magical thing, or getting lost in a good book. If she's doing neither of those things, you can be sure she's surfing the web buying new makeup, clothes, or binge watching another show as she becomes one with her sofa.
