Review by Jen Skewes

I loved this book!!  Honestly I wasn’t even sure what this book was about.  I quickly read the blurb, but as you can see it is little vague.  All I knew was that Lucia Franco wrote it and it was a forbidden romance.  And if anyone knows how to write a forbidden romance it is her.  This book is hot and sexy and forbidden in so many ways.  There ae twists that will shock you and moments that will completely test your limits, and your morals.  I questioned mine many times while reading it.  All I can say is to just go in blind, it is so much better that way.

Aubrey is a college student who is struggling to make ends meet.  Aside from her best friend Natalie, the only person she has in her life is her Grammy. She is currently working two jobs just to pay the rent and take care of her Grammy.  He friend sees her struggling and working so hard, so she finally decides to tell Aubrey the truth about her job and at the same time recruiting her to work the same job as she does.  Aubrey is shocked and not sure that being a high-priced escort is something that she can do.  It’s great money but can she really sell her soul to the devil, so to speak?

There are rules to her new job, one being to never get attached to a client.  That seemed easy enough until she met James riviera.  He is much older than her, but he is sexy, has a body that will make you weak in the knees, tattoos covering his body, and he knows how to be demanding in the bedroom. When they first meet the chemistry between them is instant.  There is no denying the attraction, but it is so much more than that.  They are two people who get each other, who understand each other and neither one of them judges the other.  They are both walking a fine line, one that they should not be crossing.  Aubrey should walk away but how do you walk away from a man who makes you feel the way that James does?

I could not get enough of this book and the characters.  The story line was different, and Ms. Franco writes a forbidden romance like it is nobody’s business.  I loved James from the moment I met him, but I will admit at times my feelings for him were questionable.  I needed to know why he was there with Aubrey and to understand it all.  And when that moment comes when he finally opens up to Aubrey you see this hot and sexy tattooed man have this vulnerability to him. And hearing his story only solidified my love for him. He was gorgeous and the intimate moments between them were nothing short of hot and amazing.  And when he called her sweetheart, my God, I melted every single time!!  I absolutely loved him.  I did not care what his life outside of Aubrey was, all that mattered to me was that these two belonged to each other.

Aubrey is a tricky character to love because she is this strong and independent woman who will work her butt off and do what she needs to, so she can help her Grammy which I admire, just not the way she went about it, hence making that part a little tricky. If that makes sense.  She is strong, and sassy and that is what I loved about her.

Hush Hush was a fantastic read. It is a hot and sexy romance that will break you once or twice.  I was sucked in from the first page.  I devoured this book, ad when it was all over I was sad that it ended.  These are two characters that I cannot forget.  I want more of them. Lucia Franco has this way of making a forbidden romance feel so right.  As I said earlier, you may question your morals but everything that these two characters feel you feel with them.   It may be wrong, but Ms. Franco makes it feel so very right.  I honestly had one issue with this book and the was the end. I am selfish and wanted so much more of them, so for me I wished the epilogue was a little longer.  But otherwise I love everything about this book. From the story, to Aubrey’s relationship with her best friend, how she took care of her Grammy and of course her relationship with James.  It was perfect!!!
