Blurb

We’re a
match made in hell, Stefan and I.

He took me
to exact his revenge. I went from being a pawn to my father to being a pawn to
Stefan. The only difference is I have a ring the size of a boulder on my finger
and a husband I don’t want.

And the
hardest part is I thought he was different. I thought I was falling in love.

I guess my
father was right. I’m not a very smart girl.

Stefan is
powerful man. He doesn’t play nice, not if you’re his enemy. But I have learned
one thing about my husband.

He takes
care of what’s his.
And I am
his.

His enemies
have become my enemies, but he’ll never let anyone hurt me. He’s fiercely
protective. It’s the predator inside that scares me.

Review by Jen Skewes

Damage is the conclusion to Collateral and it was freakin fantastic.  This book is a perfect example of why I love Natasha Knight's writing. It is gritty, raw, intense, emotional and has twists and turns that will  keep you on the edge of your seat.  This was the perfect conclusion to Stefan and Gabriela's story.

At the end of Collateral we were left hanging in a big way, Gabriella has jus lost one of the most important people in her life.  She had started to trust Stefan but now she is no so sure who's her back any more.  So she calls the one person that she should be able to trust, even if she knows not too.  We are left wondering who took Gabriel and if Stefan will not only find her in time and in one piece, but what will happen between the two of them when he does.  She is not sure if she can trust him, she knows that he is a monster, but she also sees a side of him the gives her hope, that maybe there is more to this man than what most people see.  Stefan definitely has his moments where he shows compassion, shows that he cares.   until things go wrong and he turns back into that monster that you don't know whether to trust him or not.  there is no doubt that these two are falling for each other.  But can a marriage the was forced from the beginning, combined with the lack of trust really work out in the end?

I loved this book!!  I enjoyed the first book but this one I absolutely loved.  I was glued to the pages, never wanting it to end.  It was a bumpy road, with twist and turns, and emotions running rampant.  When it was all over I let out the breath that I didn't not realize I was holding.  All I wangle was for Stefan to admit his love for Gabiella but also see that man that she fell for.  The one who is comforting. protective and makes her feel safe.  Gabriela is one tough girl for all that she has gone through.  I loved that regardless of the fact that she was stuck with Stefan for the long haul, she still stayed true to herself.  She still fought back ad would still do anything to protect the ones she loves.

Natasha Knight has done it again.  Her writing is just so perfect.  She writes a mafia romance with just the right amount of dark.  Her stories are gritty and intense.  You find yourself loving characters that you shouldn't, but you just do.

Just a side note, I am very intrigued with Rafa and I would love to see more of his character.  There is also one part of this story involving another character that I still want to understand...lol. But at the same time I am not sure I want to know.  Another fantastic read from Ms. Knight.
