Release Blitz: My Almost Ex by Piper Rayne

Release Date: April 6

In the middle of a crowded bar in our small Alaskan town, my estranged wife snuggles up to me as if we’re still a happy couple.

Don’t get me wrong, we were a happy couple—before she walked out on me a year ago. We were the high school sweethearts everyone thought were destined to be together forever. We thought so too, which is why we married shortly after graduation.

We had a good marriage. Until she left me without any real explanation.

Now, she’s back—and this is the real kicker—she has amnesia and thinks I’m still her husband. Technically I am, although the divorce papers are sitting at the lawyer’s office.

She’s desperate to remember her life in Sunrise Bay but I only want to find out why she left me. Once we conjure that memory up, it’s sayonara because there’s no second chances here. But as you probably already figured out, things didn’t go quite as I planned.

At the end of My Beautiful Neighbor, just as we see Adam finally moving on from his estranged wife, she shows up at a family event acting like they are still married and that nothing has happened between them. Wait, what??? It’s been a year since Lucy walked out on him for reasons that he still doesn’t know. And here she is acting like nothing happened at all.

Well turns out she had an accident recently and has lost her memory. When she goes with her mother back to Sunrise Bay she instantly remembers her husband, just not that they have been estranged. Adam has no idea what to do. She ripped his heart out a year ago. He has finally moved on. He wants to know why she left with no explanation but getting close to her again, helping her find her memory again may only lead to heartbreak all over again. Does he help her in any way that he can, or does he leave her alone, not wanting to risk his heart again?

I love this series already. Which is no surprise because I have loved this writing duo since I read the first Bailey book. What I love about The Greene family is the close-knit family. How one book may be about one particular family member, but it still means we get to see all of them. And of course, there’s Dori and Ethel’s antics.

I love a loss of memory book because for one you really don’t know where the author willgo with it. With this particular story I loved that we did not know what happened between Lucy and Adam a year ago. Adam didn’t even know. So, to go through the memories with Lucy as they came to her and discover with her what happened is what I loved about this.

Adam is a really sweet guys who was so broken, but he needed to know why his wife left. He was bitter and angry but at the same time the possibility of a second chance was right in front of him.

I really loved Lucy. I love how she discovered things about herself that she didn’t like and wanted to change. It was more about her seeing herself from other point of views for the first time because of her memory loss. And I loved how Adam handled these mixed feelings she was having, and he reassured with her.

This is another spectacular family series from this amazing writing duo. This family comes together for each other which I love. Watching Lucy and Adam find their way back to each other was beautiful to watch and we relived her memories with them.  Even if there was someone that was not on board with their reunion. They didn’t let that stop them. Loved it. Cannot wait for the next one
