This is the conclusion to Ivy and Santiago’s story and what an ending it was!! I was waiting for this book like my life depended on it. Each book in this series just got better and better, leaving us with another cliffhanger and our hearts in our throats. The final book may have been my favorite. I am still deciding. But either way I absolutely loved it!!!
This book completely justified every ounce of love that I had for Santiago. He had a very dark soul, was a monster, and did things that truly questioned how I could love an anti-hero such as him, as much as I did. But I had my reasons and this book just validated them. I loved seeing the vulnerable side of Santiago, and to see his love for Ivy come out. Ivy was a pawn in Santiago’s very dark game, one filled with vengeance. But loving Ivy changed him in a way and made he see things differently. It was beautiful to watch his transformation.
This book takes place exactly where we left off. Ivy trusted her brother a bit too easily and accepted his help to run away from Santiago. But Santiago will do everything in his power to find her and when he does protect her. Finding their happily ever after was not easy at all. They had many obstacles to overcome. And just when you thought things were going in the direction you wanted and they had finally found their happiness, BAM!! Something else happens. It was a long hard road to get to the end, but it was so worth every bit of pain and heartache, and not just for the characters but myself included …lol.
This series was fantastic, and one of my favorites. It was dark, gritty and raw, but I loved every minute of it. I loved watching these two characters fall for each other. Going from complete hatred to pure love! Watching them both be vulnerable at times, and strong at others. One minute wanting to kill each other and the other wanting to love and protect each other. Santiago had his sweets moments where you saw how capable of love he really was. They fought, they loved, and in the end they came together and found the happiness they both deserved. I just loved these character so much and was sad to see it end. Bur I am really hoping for Judge’s book because that man is a very interesting character who I would like to know more about.
