Release Blitz for Sawyer Bennett's Formula Fling

New Release | New Series Formula Fling (Race Fever, Book #1) Sawyer Bennett

Synopsis:

Welcome to Formula International, where legends are born and speed is king. From New York Times Bestselling Author Sawyer Bennett comes the Race Fever series, set within the fast-paced and dangerous world of formula racing. Posey Evans is looking to take her career as a romance author to the next level, shifting from historical love stories to writing about the high stakes world of formula racing. Wanting to immerse herself in the sport, Posey manages to secure full access to the Crown Velocity Racing team by faking credentials as a journalist. When she’s granted unlimited face-to-face time with one of the teams’ best drivers, Posey is equal parts elated and terrified because while she’s getting exactly what she wants, she can’t afford to have her secret exposed. Lex Hamilton lives for the thrill of being one of the fastest and most decorated race car drivers in the sport. When he’s behind the wheel, he’s focused on one thing and one thing only—earning top spot on the podium. But off the track? Let’s just say his extracurricular activities have put him on a very short leash with the team management at Crown Velocity. He’s cocky, handsome, dripping with swagger, and not super happy to have what he considers a babysitter following his every move. Lex’s unwillingness to help doesn’t deter Posey but when he uncovers her secret, they strike a deal—he won’t reveal her truth if she helps him stay out of trouble and keep his job. While many women would swoon at his feet, Posey isn’t interested in anything more than Lex’s racing knowledge. Mostly. As the season inches closer and passions ignite, time at the track leads to time in the bed. Having agreed there is an expiration date on their arrangement, what started as an assignment has the potential to go the distance as their physical relationship builds into something deeper. But when her secret is revealed, will Lex and Posey’s relationship hit a wall, or will this fling find its way to the checkered flag? Formula Fling is an opposites attract sports romance within the Race Fever series. All books in the series can be enjoyed as standalones.

3 Star Review by Trinette Dungee

Historical romance writer Posey Evans wants to try her hand at sports romance. With Formula International Racing having its first female team principle, Posey decided this would be the perfect sport to start her off. Misrepresenting herself as a journalist to Crown Velocity Racing, she manages to gain all access to the team. Not only has she snagged this all-access pass, but she’s been assigned to “shadow” racing’s bad boy Lex Hamilton. If there’s a tabloid within two feet, Lex will end up on the cover of it. This assignment isn’t exactly what Posey was looking for, but beggars can’t be choosers, so be Lex’s shadow she will; and hopes she doesn’t blow her cover while doing it.

Lex Hamilton is skating on thin ice in the world of racing. The powers that be are getting fed up with his antics. When journalist Posey Evans is assigned to follow him around to gain material for an “article” she’s writing give the sport a more exposure, he’s less than thrilled. Learning Posey isn’t who she says she is, gives him the perfect opportunity for him to get rid of her, but instead, he finds himself offering to help her, because like it or not, Posey does help keep him on the straight and narrow.

This is the first book in a brand-new series from Sawyer Bennett, and dare I say new territory. This series focuses on the world for formula racing. I have a love/hate relationship with new series. The love part is due to new characters and storylines. The hate part, new storyline and new characters. While I may not have loved every book by Sawyer, I have yet to meet a book of hers I didn’t like. I will admit, this new series worried me a bit. When it comes to sports, I’m a contact sport type of girl. You know, basketball, football. Until about ten years ago (after picking up my first hockey romance), I didn’t know much about hockey. Admittedly I still don’t but I can sort of follow what’s going on (again contact sports) and I’ve actually attended a couple of games. Race Car drivers? Yikes! What the hell was I going to do with this series? Well, after finishing this book, I’m going to dive into the rest of this series!

When I say I know nothing about car racing, I mean NOTHING so this wasn’t the easiest book for me to read. Because this is a sport not highly written about there was a lot of background and technical information and admittedly it wasn’t the most interesting information. When Lex says “Gio…mate…let’s dumb that down a bit. You’re making my eyes cross”. I swear that was written just for me. With that being said, I did get through it and am a little more curious. This book seemed to be more narrative than dialogue which was a little different.

Putting aside the technical jargon and racing background info, I enjoyed this first instalment of the new series. Initially I wasn’t sure how I felt about Posey or Lex. I didn’t immediately connect with them, but when it happened, I was all in. I liked their chemistry, and they had some pretty nice witty dialogue. What intrigued me more than anything else in this book, was the supporting characters. Although I’m sure the upcoming books will be about actual drivers. I’m wondering if some these other characters will have books. Characters like, Harley Patrick. Spenser Montgomery, Carlos Moreno, and Maeve Dornan. These characters seem like they might have some pretty juicy storylines. I’m even curious about Lex’s friend Ronan Barnes. I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen the las of him.

All in all, this was decent read.

Release Blitz for Sawyer Bennett's The Tryst

As the middle son, Trey Blackburn dedicates his days to the family business, working to ensure that they remain at the top of the saddelbred industry. His time away from the farm is another story. Not one to get tied up in a long-term relationship, he's the love 'em and leave 'em sort of guy. But Trey's hesitation to commit might be deeper than not wanting to put in the time and effort. His reluctance may have more to do with the blond beauty who just blew back into town and the things they left in the past that have been neither forgiven nor forgotten.

Holland Rhodes may not have been born into the Blackburn name, but she was once considered part of the family. Having a less-than-ideal home life, Holland spent as much time as she could with the Blackburns, the quintessential dynasty full of love and southern hospitality. Dubbed an honorary member, Holland thought their connection would last a lifetime, but one shocking revelation changed everything.

Having left Shelbyville for a fresh start, Holland has limited her time back in Kentucky for the past decade, avoiding both of her families-the one into which she was born and the one into which she was welcomed. But the death of her father and the uncertain future of the family business has brought Holland back to face her past, one Blackburn at a time.

With old feelings reignited and ready to move their relationship forward, everything crashes to a halt when tragedy strikes. Their painful history in danger of repeating itself, Trey and Holland may find that even true love can't overcome the darkest davs.

The Tryst: A Blackburn Novel is an enemies to lovers novel within the Bluegrass

Empires series. All books in the series can be enjoyed as standalones.

Trinette Dungee Review 4 Star Review

Growing up, the Blackburn’s were more family to Holland Rhodes than her own parents. Since leaving for collage, it’s been more than ten years since she’s been home or seen parents. Now she’s back to bury her father and help her mother tie up his affairs, and this means reconnecting the Blackburn Family including Trey Blackburn. Unbeknownst to everyone she knows/knew, Holland’s reason for leaving Shelbyville behind had more to do with Trey Blackburn than anything else.

For Trey Blackburn the return of Holland Rhodes to Shelbyville, means facing his past. Bringing up old memories, acknowledging the hurt and pain he inflicted on her as well as himself. It means finally coming clean to Holland, and maybe even having a second chance with her. It also means possible hurting someone close to him in order to have that second chance.

I loved this series so much, this by far was my favorite book. A second chance romance where once again Sawyer has given just the right amount of spice, angst, tragedy, heartbreak, and a little bit of a love triangle. The pace and the flow were perfect. The chemistry between the two characters was something of a slow simmer, and it was perfect for them and this story. I didn’t care much for Trey in the first two books, but I liked him a little better in this story. Is he my favorite Blackburn brother? No. However, he is the brother that, to me, sacrificed and gave up the most which makes him the one I respected the most. He was definitely a “suffer in silence” type of man that tugged at my heartstrings.

Without giving away too much, Sawyer Bennett has yet again thrown a curve ball in a story that steals your breath. The curve ball was one of the things that made me love this book so much. Everyone wants a HEA, but sometimes the author has to take the unpopular road and shake things up a bit. That can sometimes be a risky move, but I think the risk paid off. I’m still in my feelings about it.

Release Blitz for RS Grey's Karma's Kiss

Karma's Kiss by R.S. Grey is now live!

Every small-town girl has known a Sawyer Garnett. He’s the dimpled dreamboat we used to fantasize

about in algebra class, the hometown heartbreaker with no shortage of outraged exes. But unlike

most golden boys, this one didn’t peak in high school. Oh no no. Like the fine wine at the vineyard

he’s the literal heir to, Sawyer’s only gotten better with age.

Nobody is more annoyed that karma has yet to find Sawyer than my best friend, his old flame.

Just hearing his name makes her curse the day he was born. “That man deserves to learn a

lesson” turns into a vengeance vow that puts me on a collision course with Sawyer himself.

Go out on a date with him? Easy-peasy. Flirt and play along? No sweat.

Let him slip his hands beneath my sundress amidst the lush grapevines? Well…maybe

a little bit of sweat.

It’s not long before our simple plan for payback turns into Texas-sized trouble. Under the

spell of Sawyer’s piercing brown eyes, my pretend passion threatens to ignite the flimsy facade

I’ve built up against him. I’ll just have to stay focused. If I want justice for my friend and

every other woman Sawyer has scorned, I have to keep reminding myself he’s run from

karma’s kiss for far too long.

They say you reap what you sow…and Sawyer so deserves what is coming to him.

Lisa Kane's 4.5 Star Review

Madison McCall was living in Montgomery, Alabama, engaged to a senator's son-Matthew Mason and about to get married. That all changed when her fiance decided to give her the boot for his secretary. She had been working up the ladder at a event planning company and was hoping to take the reigns at some point. All that is gone and she's temporarily back in Oak Hill, Texas, living with her mom Queenie.

Her mom is the owner of Wildflower Weddings and Madison is going to be helping her out while she's in town. Her mom and Marge, her assistant are a hoot. They read naughty romances, like to booze it up and have no interest in keeping the company organized. Madison has her work cut out for her.

One of the first people she runs into is Sawyer Garnett, god's gift to females. He was damn fine high school and he's aged like a fine wine. In fact, his family owns Starlight Vineyards and that's where Sawyer works. Madison's bestie, Kendra had the hots for him in high school. Kendra always felt that Sawyer did her wrong.

It's obvious and surprising to Madison that Sawyer is interested in her. She just got jilted two months ago and she's not sure she even wants to date. But Sawyer is one persuasive guy.

Karma's Kiss is a great read. I loved the humor, the little bit of angst and the whole second chance at a first chance with the right person. This one is definitely worth a read.

Release Blitz for Sawyer Bennett's King: A Pittsburgh Titans Novel

New Release from Sawyer Bennett King (Pittsburgh Titans, Book #14)

Synopsis:

Jack Kingston is known for his dominant playing skills on the ice, but off, he’s a down-to-earth guy who values a true connection over a meaningless hookup. I love being a member of the Pittsburgh Titans, even if my teammates are constantly ribbing me about women who they claim are throwing themselves all over me. Could I go for the easy lay? Sure, but that’s not my style. I’m more of long-term kind of guy. Instead, I’m going to keep doing what I do best—killing it out on the ice. Everything else will fall into place…eventually. That time comes sooner than expected, in the most unlikely of ways. At the rink to watch our goalie’s kids play Peewee hockey, I meet Willa Montreaux and somehow, by the end of that interaction, I’ve offered to help her coach the Ice Pups. Altruism or were there other intentions in that offer? A little of both, if I’m being honest. As the time I spend with Willa increases, I am absolutely certain I want even more. She’s gorgeous, sure, but that’s superficial. Willa is also funny, loving, determined and smart. SO smart. Doctor smart. Probably too intelligent for a jock like me, but that’s not going to stop me from shooting my shot. Not looking for anything more than a fling and concerned that she’s too old for me, Willa doesn’t want to venture into anything serious. I’m willing to put in the work and give her the space she needs to come to terms with the fact that the connection we have is far more than physical. Willa and I are end game, but I’m willing to play into overtime if that’s what it takes to walk away with her by my side.

Trinette Dungee's 4 Star Review!

Jack “King” Kingston is one of the newest members of the Titans. Recently traded from the Houston Jams he’s finding his footing in Pittsburgh and finding his place on his new team. King has always been a one-woman-committed-relationship type of guy. His charming personality and handsome looks have woman constantly throwing themselves at him, but King isn’t interested. When he comes across Willa at a pee-wee hockey game he is instantly smitten. Offering his services to help her coach the team, he sees this as a way to get to know her better, but Willa is very much jaded and doesn’t make it easy.

Recovering from a nasty divorce Dr. Willa Montreaux doesn’t see herself every falling in love again. Growing up in an abusive household, and then marrying a man just like her father, she’s pretty sure her judgement when it comes to men is crap. When Jack Kingston not only offers to help her coach her niece’s hockey team but shows interest in her she immediately shoots him down. She’s more than a little interested in him, but there are several things stopping her. Aside from her aversion to any serious relationship, King is several years younger than her.

I enjoyed King and Willa, and they were just what I needed. These were two of the most likeable characters I’ve met in a while. They were very relatable. King was basically a sweetheart. It was refreshing to have a male hero who was well adjusted and not recovering from trauma and/or being a completely misunderstood soul. Don’t get me wrong, I love those types of characters (and I think we may be getting one very soon), but I think King was written perfectly. What I like most about Willa, was she was nothing like I thought she was going to be. I initially thought she was going to be this retired ice skater with a bit of a chip on her shoulder, definitely not a doctor. She wasn’t pretentious or know-it-all. Their story was sweet and cute, and humorous. It was low on drama and angst. The flow was perfect. The dialogue fit them to a tee.

I very much enjoyed their story, but it was a bit heavy on the topic of Penn, especially in the beginning. It’s typical to have other characters introduced in a storyline for their possible storyline, but Penn was pretty present in this book and it had me often focusing on him more than Willa and King. So much so, that I was certain his story would be next; but it’s actually Rafferty we will be getting to know, and this guy looks to be a very interesting character.

Release Blitz for Penelope Ward's The Rocker's Muse!

REVIEW TOUR

Title: The Rocker’s Muse

Author: Penelope Ward

Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance

Tropes: Rockstar/15-Year Age Gap/Small Town

Found Family/Slow Burn/Forbidden

Release Date: August 26, 2024

BLURB

From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward comes a new, STANDALONE novel…

No one but me knew why I was actually in the California desert that day.

Nestled deep within the desolate, rocky area was a recording studio.

When a door suddenly opened, a man mistook me for someone he was supposed to be interviewing for a job.

The next thing I knew, I was whisked inside.

The position? An assistant on the upcoming tour for one of America’s most famous rock bands.

Pretty exciting opportunity for a twenty-two-year-old, just out of college.

Not surprisingly, I bombed the interview.

When I ended up mistakenly walking into the men’s room on my way out, I struck up a conversation with a stranger—not realizing it was the lead singer, Tristan Daltrey.

He seemed to like the fact that I had no idea who he was, that I saw him as a normal person.

That night, I got a call offering me the job.

So began my complicated story with Tristan.

Millions of women loved him.

Yet for some reason, after the shows, he only wanted to hang out with me.

Late-night talks. Casual dinners in his hotel room.

I wasn’t supposed to be fraternizing with the band’s frontman.

Despite our fifteen-year age difference, Tristan and I had a connection.

But I had a secret.

One that would eventually lead to my leaving the tour.

And one that would lead Tristan and the band straight to the small town where I came from.

Lisa Kane's 4 Star Review

One of my favorite tropes is a rock star romance. This one has that and an age gap. Win/win. Emily Applewood is 22, has had a bit of a challenging life so far and has a chance to be the assistant to Delirious Jones, a rock band about to go on tour. She has an encounter with Tristan Daltry, 38, lead singer of the said band that leads to a job offer. That sets the stage (pun intended) for the story.

The Rocker's Muse has a lot of light, funny moments. But as in all of Penelope Ward's writings, it's sprinkled with sobering, heart wrenching bits that balance out the story. Bitter with the sweet. There is a depth to the character development, as it's told in dual POV's, allowing the reader to really get into their heads.

The secondary characters, the bands' other members- Ronan and Atticus are not just thrown into the book to act as props. They too have their own secrets and stories, just waiting to be told. I want to open those Pandora boxes and explore their back stories. I'm guessing this is the start of a series featuring the remaining characters.

Throw your Kindle in your suitcase and hop on the tour bus. This one's a chart climber and you're going to love the ride!
