Review: Choose Us by Caylie Marcoe

Riley Logan and Travis Grayson have been best friends for the last fifteen years. She would do anything for him, go anywhere for him…and she has, countless times. Except now. Now he’s asking for too much. Their friendship has reached a breaking point and she doesn’t know how to go back. But as Travis’ personal assistant, Riley spends her every waking moment by his side.

When a fractured ankle puts Travis’ BMX career on hold he’s given more downtime than he knows what to do with. Always one for excitement, he agrees to become the bachelor on a televised dating show, but only if Riley goes in undercover to help weed through the girls.

What was supposed to be eight weeks of freedom has turned into eight weeks of hell surrounded by desperate girls all vying for Travis’ attention. He promised her the show would be smooth sailing. He promised he would listen to her advice on which girls should be eliminated. But now he’s breaking those promises and getting way too close to the girl Riley despises the most.

She shouldn’t care. Except she does. Much to her surprise there is one girl she wants Travis to choose…

Her.

Will she get what she wants, or will Riley lose her best friend along with getting her heart broken on national television?

This book was really great, and I loved it; well written, a decent plot, lovable characters, definite angst, sexual tension- you name it, this one had it!

I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning and read it from start to finish that's how much I enjoyed this one.

I loved the friendship that was first and foremost, between the hero and heroine- Travis Grayson, and Riley Logan. They were sweet to one another, but also made fun of each other- and you could tell they were going to fall in love. I can't believe they didn't see the romance that was going on right in front of their faces even when everyone else saw it. There were scenes from when they met that were really cute and that showed the strength of the bond they had with one another.

Travis is a professional BMX bike racer who ends up with a small injury and his mom-ager decides he needs to say screw it and do a Bachelor type dating show. Travis decides to do it, on one condition- that Riley be one of the contestants, sort of as an undercover mission to get information on the girls that were on the show. I loved this idea, although Riley had her doubts, she ended up doing it.

Travis made me mad on some occasions- especially when Riley was telling him about a certain bimbo that was in it for the fame- but he just wasn't thinking with the right head. There was no sex in this book-but damn the chemistry was still hot enough for me to be okay with that. Sometimes the story and plot line just overpowers the needs for the main characters to hump like rabbits.-LOL!
This was just what I needed in between some of my longer books-; just a fantastically well written rom-com, and Caylie has built a fan in me for life. I can't wait to see what she has in store for her next book, seeing as this is her first.

Pick up this book and you won't be disappointed. That's for sure!
