Review: Finding You by Kelly Elliott
If Grace Johnson knew one thing at all, it was that all men were dirtbags.
All men … except Noah Bennet.
“I was lost in his eyes. Lost in his tears. My goal was to pull him out of the darkness … even if it dragged me in as well.”
If Noah Bennet knew one thing at all, it was he needed Grace Johnson.
Needed her … desperately.
“My pain was pulling me under … she was my only saving grace.”
Grace is willing to put everything on the line to help bring back the man she is hopelessly in love with. Even if it costs her the future she’s been longing for.
“If finding you means losing a part of me … I’ll do it.”
4 Stars!
Review by Lisa Kane
I have been anxiously awaiting Grace Johnson and Noah Bennet's book. There have been sprinklings of this couple in the previous books. Theirs has not been an easy journey. Grace wanted to believe that they had a casual sexual relationship, but she finally admitted she was kidding herself. She had strong feelings for Noah, but then a series of misunderstandings caused the couple to lose touch with each other.
One amazing night with Noah Bennet would have to do. I allowed myself to feel for one incredible night.
When Grace finally saw Noah again, she thought he was getting married to someone else. She was heartbroken but was determined to cut all ties. By the time Noah realized that Grace thought he was getting married, rather than his sister, things had dramatically changed in his life.
Grace Hope Johnson was mine.
Noah's mom is dying of cancer. To make matters worse, his father dumped his whole family, and is living with a woman half his age. He is also putting the family's home up for sale. Neither Noah nor his sister, Emily can afford to buy him out. He is so torn; his mom wants to die at home, rather than in a hospital or a hospice, but there won't be a home for very long.
Grace is so happy to have Noah back in her life but she is heartbroken at his pain. Noah has been getting through his days, but he is relying on things he shouldn't. Grace is at a loss as to what to do for him. Her family is concerned as well and if you've read the Wanted series, you don't mess with either Jeff or Ari Johnson. And you better not mess with their kids. Noah is going to have to pull out all the stops to convince Grace's parents he is good enough for their little girl.
Don't get me wrong, there's lots of delicious steam in this one, not just angst.
"Sex. If I have to stick my hand into my panties one more time, I'm going to have to start paying myself."
Noah is a good guy, but he is just so lost. These two go through hell and back. Noah battles his demons and then they face another whole challenge. Will they come out stronger for having suffered so many losses or will they cave in under all the pressure?
"Why? Why God, why Grace?"
I loved Grace and Noah's story and I'm chomping at the bit for Meagan and Grayson's book!
