I could not wait for this book. I fell in love with Cam and Olivia in the first book and Ms. Mercier left us hanging in a big way. I needed to see what would happen between these two. I was a bit nervous the week leading up to the release of this book. I read the author’s posts and wondered what could she possibly do that will have my stomach in knots. So I came up with all of these scenarios in my head trying to figure it out. Was I right? Well let’s just say that not one of them was correct and I had every reason to be worried about this book
I don’t want to give too much away because saying too much will completely spoil this book. This picks up exactly where book one ended. Cam’s crazy ex Alison is back in town and she has every intention of making life hell for Olivia. How far will this girl go? Too far. Trust me she is not a nice person and she really does make things very difficult for Olivia. But that is not the only issue in Olivia’s life. Between school, a crazy ex, and Cam’s football schedule, things become a little rocky for the two of them and Olivia finds herself leaning on her two best friends to cope. Will Cam and Olivia be able to get through the struggles or will it ruin them?
This book was certainly intense and at times yes I did have knots in my stomach. And there is a plot twist that you do not see coming. I have to say that I really did enjoy this book for one or two reasons and it is specifically because of the end. After reading this book and thinking about it the entire next day I realized that while I was happy with the ending there was one thing that did bother me and that was the actions of a particular character that I just did not agree with. I felt like it was so out of line from who this character was. For me it was a little disappointing to see the change in him His actions and words just confused me and angered me at the same time. With that being said Anne Mercier is a fantastic writer and even the parts that I had issues with were well written. They obviously made me feel something towards the characters.
Again I enjoyed the way it turned out it was a lot of the in between that I had some issues with. There was certainly enough angst and drama to keep your heart racing. And Ms. Mercier delivered a wonderful happy ending that I loved. I look forward to reading more about these characters.

"Another great read from Anne....I really enjoyed the first book and was waiting to find out what happened to Cam and Liv, how their story and history played out for them. I have to say I was a little shocked at the change in Cam from the beginning to the end of that book but I still liked it. [...]
I LOVED the outcome and the fact it is not what you expect. Too many books these days have predictable fairy tale outcomes and I am frankly tired of it and the same story over and over, I like a surprise and twist."~ LJ's Secret Addiction
"It was amazing and so not what I was expecting. I read 5 plus books a week and I can honestly tell you that I didn't see that one coming. It hard to explain how a book can break and heal your heart all at the same time." - Marni, Amazon reviewer
"To say I was shocked, is an understatement, but that's what I love about Anne's books. You should never just assume that they are going to be just like everyone else's." Stacey Johnson, Amazon reviewer

The Way Back to Me (The Way #1) – Released Feb 23, 2016
She was perky, fun, and full of life—everything I hated about girls and their bullshit exterior. People called her bubbly; I called her “fake-as-hell.”
The edgy, dark, lonely girl in front of me was not the Olivia Brennan I knew from high school—far from it, actually. I knew the story—the whole town knew the story, we witnessed it all. It happened in the blink of an eye and the girl we knew was gone.
But I refuse to watch it anymore—I can’t stand it. I’m going to fix it—fix her. It’s time I showed Olivia Brennan her way back…
Back to the girl she used to be.
