Writing reviews for Vi Keeland's books always make me feel like some Hemingway wannabe typing away. The words flow and I my limited typing skills have to catch up with my thoughts. Her books contain tons of witty banter, sexy lickable scenes and smoldering, delicious angst.

Natalia Rossi is a behavioral therapist helping her best friend get ready for her wedding. Her life is complicated-her ex got himself into some news worthy trouble and Nat is paying the price for his screw ups. She's in a dry spell-hasn't had sex for two years and is determined that she's going to dip into the sex pool again with Adam, a boring but nice groomsman for the wedding. She's voicing her intentions to her bestie, Anna the bride, when she's overheard by Hunter Delucia. Sex on legs. Worthy of being a replacement for one of the Roman gods. He gives her butterflies. Oh that's not good. She doesn't need anymore complications in her life.

"Nat Rossi," I said, giving him my hand.
"Nat? Is that short for something?"
"Natalia. But no one calls me that."
He smiled again. "Very nice to meet you, Natalia."

Oh he's a naughty one. Does his best to thwart Nat's plans for a romp between the sheets with boring Adam. Hunter is rich, charismatic and wants Nat. Cat meet mouse.

"I don't want that type of relationship."
He studied me carefully. "I like you. You're beautiful and smart. We enjoy each other. But I'm not looking for anything serious."

So....he's looking for sex, not love. And Nat's looking for sex not love. This will work, right?

But the best of intentions often lead to messy sticky situations and feelings. Nasty unwanted feelings that make one break their promises to themselves that they won't let themselves get off course. They won't fall hard for anyone.

It's just sex and since both Hunter and Nat know there's an expiration date on their non committal relationship that should be okay. Right? Anybody falling for this load of BS??

Of course there's a cauldron of angst about to come to a full boil in this story. Lots of thuds. That's the sound of your heart and your kindle as it's free falling.

"My two month assignment will be done. I'll be home in California."

Damn you Vi. I swore this time it would be different and I wouldn't get taken in by your evil writing. Nope, my heart will be safely enshrouded in ice, where you and your nefarious words can't touch it. Yep, epic fail on my part.

Natalia-she's my one. 

Somebody reach for the defibrillator. Get those paddles ready. I'm thinking my heart may just be ready to be jumpstarted again.

I feel in love long before I was willing to accept what it was.

Hunter is nothing if not a determined guy who knows what he wants-he just may need a little shove-or a massive push off a cliff to make him see how to make all the jigsaw puzzle pieces fit.

I loved Nat-she's generous and kind and her beauty isn't just on the outside, she has a heart and spirit that she shares with everyone she loves. But she is no pushover. Life beat up her tired heart and once burnt, it's not going to be easy for her to let someone back in again.

Ah...the feels for Sex, Not Love. But I'm telling you Ms. Keeland. I'm not gonna let you suck me in again. Nope, not going to happen. I'm going to read your next book without participating in the Hunger Games you want to play with my heart. I won't fall for your evil plotting ways again.
