About TEN REASONS TO STAY

One day a week—Thursdays—my husband and I could do whatever or whomever we pleased.

Protection was non-negotiable.

And no matter what, we had to be home by midnight.

Jack was the one who wanted an open marriage, but we were supposed to keep things simple. No strings. No commitments. It seemed so easy…until it wasn’t.

Devilishly handsome Cole Blackwater was only supposed to be a fling, but everything about him made me feel alive. Wanted. Seen. When I realized he was my husband’s boss, I should have broken things off right then…but I didn’t.

One day a week, I could pretend that I was his and he was mine…until Cole wanted more.

But how could I decide between the man I’d promised to love, honor, and cherish, and the man who tempted me to break every single vow I’d made?

Review by Jen Skewes
When I first read the blurb for this book I knew that I had to read it. But I was also jut a bit nervous going in.  A husband wanting an open marriage?  That just screams angst and I tend to have a love/hate relationship with angst.  But regardless I had to get my hands on this book.  this is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved it.

Corinne's husband has told her that he wants an open marriage, and she knows n her heart that is not something that she wants.  But she fears that if she says no he is going to go behind her back anyway.  So she reluctantly agrees but there are rules that they must follow.  They are only allowed to be open on Thursdays and they must be home by midnight.  One day every week is there's to do what they want with it.  Corinne meets a man on Tinder and soon finds out that he is her husband's boss, and as much asa the two of them know that it is wrong to continue meeting, neither one of them can help themselves.  for the first time in a long time, Corinne feels loved, beautiful and like herself.  Cole, is used to being with woman but never in the way that he is when with Corinne.  He is falling for her fast, which is something he didn't plan on doing.   they both feel it, this is so much more than a Thursday fling, but Corinne is still married.  It seems that this can only end with someone getting hurt in the end.  The question being who will be the one left with broken heart?

I really enjoyed this book.  It wasn't as angsty a I thought it would be but at the same time it definitely was emotional.  There were moments where I had that lump in my throat and also anger inside of me.  I liked Corinne, I really did.  I especially liked the woman she was when she was with Cole.  But I did not agree with some of her decisions.  Her husband was a complete douche who I despised, and I guess for that reason I just didn't understand her reasons.  But I still love her and I knew deep down she was struggling with it all.  I think she worried too much about what other said inserted of following her heart and living her life for herself.

I loved Cole!!  I loved how he saw Corinne.  How he treated her the way that she deserved tone treated. He gave her so much in the time they spent together, more than her husband had.  He was sexy, and caring and just an amazing man.  Of course I was rooting for him and wanted nothing more than to see them together.

Jack, the husband I did not like at all. Sometimes in a book you dislike someone but eventually find their dreaming qualities, but there weren't any for me.  Corinne was this amazing wife who loved her husband, and for the most part went along with what he wanted and he just took advantage of that fact.  That's all I am going to say about him.  I just did not like him.

I really enjoyed this book.  There was some angst and drama but it was more of the emotions that went through me that I loved. I felt what Cole and Corinne and also felt sorry for her because of where she was at in her life.  She found her marriage to be in an unexpected place.  She handled it in thefts way she could.  The end for me was perfect. I loved the timing of it all, and how not everything came together instantly.  Getting that happily ever after took time and when it finally happened it was worth it.  I loved the moment when you see why the title of the book is what it is.  For me that was one of the best scenes.  Great job.  I look forward to reading more from this author and I am curious to see who book two is about.
