Synopsis:
In this corner and standing approximately 5”9, we have the
beautiful, smart fiery redhead MS. Vanessa McGregor, known as Red Viper in the
court room, and a successful District Attorney. She needs structure, order,
control and laid out plans in her life. She believes that happiness will come
to her if she follows her seven rules.
Flying out to Hawaii to help her best friend Lucie organize
her wedding. Her ride is an hour late picking her up from the airport. When he
finally shows, she is annoyed at his laid back, carefree attitude but she also
notices how GORGEOUS he is. Jax, MMA fighter and her best friend’s brother. Although
dirty thoughts cross her mind, she also reminds herself of rule #7 Never take
responsibilities lightly. Aside from being one of the sexiest men she has ever
seen, she is unimpressed with him. She takes matters into her own hands and

And in this corner, standing at 6’4” tall we have Jackson
“Jax” Maris, the Adonis of men, sexy, funny. He loves his life. He trains, he
fights and he surfs and he is surrounded by the beauty and peace of the island.
Doing a favor for his baby sister Lucie, he offers to pick her best friend
Vanessa up from the airport. When he fails to show up on time things get
intense. He is absolutely intrigued with this gorgeous spit fire of a red head.
He is also curious as to why she lives by her seven rules. Determined to get to
know her better he comes up with an idea and finds himself talking her into
pretending to be his sister and her fiancé to finish planning the wedding. *insert
hunks smirk here- Ding Ding Ding Round two beings*

Forced to stay in a romantic bungalow and realizing how
seriously attracted they are to one another, their little act starts to get
serious, seriously HOT.
Things are going great between them but when Vanessa gets
spooked by something he does puts a bit of distance between them. Then a little
secret of his is exposed. She is crushed and heartbroken and disappears until
she has to see him at the wedding. Mad at herself for not following her rules,
Vanessa wants nothing more than to go back home. Jackson realizes for the first
time, that he has found someone he loves and doesn’t want to be without. He
will do anything and everything to prove himself trust worthy.
“God, baby, I am so sorry. I swear I’ll never lie to you again for as
long as I live. Just please give me another chance. I love you so goddam much-“
This story was fun, flirty, sexy with some angst and
heartache. A great and entertainingly hot read.
