Blog Tour: It's Not Over by A.L. Zaun

“If I let go, will you catch me?”

He had wanted her to help him win his ex-girlfriend back. She had wanted to teach him a few lessons on how to treat a woman. Neither one had planned for the unexpected.

I couldn't stand by and watch. It hit too close to home. I had to run fast and far to get away and forget him. He weaseled his way into my life, making me question rules I lived by and turned my orderly life upside down. I'm falling apart and coming undone. I don't do that. I'm Madison Stuart. I live life by my rules. I won't be derailed by a man. I won't...I can't.

She's gone. I'm desperate and going insane. I'll do whatever it takes to find her. I don't know when it happened, but I won't let her go, not like this. What has she done to me? I'm Rick Marin for crying out loud. I don't chase women, but she's not just a woman. She's Maddy--my Maddy--and I need her.
Follow Rick and Madison’s story, The Do Over’s most notorious couple, as they learn that It’s Not Over.

4.5 star review by Jen Skewes

I love Rick Marin.  Yes I said it!  I love him, which to be honest even I never thought that would be something that I would admit.  When we first met him in The Do Over he was  cocky, arrogant,  sneaky, manipulative and a complete jerk.  But he has since changed his way all because of love and Madison Stuart.

Rick had a plan to get his ex girlfriend back and Maddy was the perfect person to help him do that.  But as they continued to spend time together he realized that he was chasing after the wrong woman. The one woman he wanted was right in front of him the whole time.

The book starts off with Maddy taking off.  She can no longer watch the man that she wants try and win back his ex girlfriend.  So she leaves without letting Rick or anyone else know exactly where she will be.  But Rick has his ways and finds her.  He has every intention of flying to NY to get her, tell her how he feels and make Maddy his.  But convincing Maddy that he has feelings for her is going to be a lot harder than he expected.  Maddy has walls up that she is not about to let someone like Rick Marin break through.  Maddy is also dealing with some business issues that need her attention.  Her brother and family friend are trying to take away the family restaurant that should be hers.  The family friend is Alex, who she has known for years both as a friend and a casual fling here or there.  But Alex plays dirty, and I mean really dirty to the point where you want to seriously just kick his ass.

Rick will do everything in his power to prove to Maddy how much he wants her.  He needs to break through her walls and insecurities which is not an easy task, but one that he is certainly up for.  As thing progress Maddy does eventually give in to Rick but their relationship is anything but perfect.  Rick is honestly the perfect man for Maddy and so different than the man that we first met.  He can be sweet, caring, loving.  there are moments where he surprises her with little things that will melt your heart.  But Maddy is still that tough as nails woman, at least on the outside.  I loved Maddy but she completely frustrated me.  I wanted for just one moment for her to just completely break down and give in to Rick.  To let him love her like she deserved to be loved, to let him protect her and support her.  While she is finally able to admit to her feelings for Rick there is a part of her that still has those walls up.  Will Rick ever be able to break them completely and will Maddy realize that it is ok to depend on someone and let them love her?

It's not Over was a great story about two people falling in love when least expected.  Rick Marin may still be cocky and arrogant but he is everything that Maddy needs and wants.  Maddy makes him want to be a better person, the person that Maddy deserves.  Maddy still has those walls up, even though Rick manages to slowly break them down.  Together they are perfect for each other.  I felt Maddy's pain and heartache from what she wet through as a teenager.  I hate how her brother and mother treat and her and every time Alex was near her I got knots in my stomach.  Fantastic job by A.L. Zaun.  I cannot wait for more!!
