Loved this heartwarming story of young love, loss and betrayal!

Twenty-Three year old Camryn Singer’s life changed five years ago when her high school boyfriend
Todd Connelly, the man who held her heart refused to support her with her unplanned pregnancy.

“Get Rid of it.. I’ll never want it” he refuses to allow it to affect his plans for his future at becoming a lawyer and following in his father’s footsteps. Camryn made a decision to run and get as far away from Todd and gave up her dreams of becoming a doctor.

Now five years later after the loss of her mother Melina, a promise made to her.  Camryn returns to her childhood home at the Jersey shore where she needs to deal with her past demons to move on with her future, in best interest of Gavin, her son, while protecting her heart from being broken again. Her biggest fear is Todd trying to take Gavin away, the child he never wanted.

With her best friend Lila by her side, (she's been with her since they day she left New Jersey to go to California to pursue her a new life), Camryn returns to New Jersey with a five year old Gavin. She comes back to the home that her mother remodeled to suit their needs. She left letters and messages for her during times of difficulty. With plans that her mother, Melina, had set for her daughter and grandson's future, Camryn is placed in the path of Cole Stevens, Gavin’s new surf instructor, and one of Melina’s former students.

Cole has always loved Camryn from afar but she does not know him. Meeting him for the first time when Gavin is scheduled for instructions, the two have an instant connection. Cole has demons and secrets that haunt him; pain caused by someone from Camryn’s past that could destroy him. The three grow very close, forming a small family unit. Todd enters back into the picture creating trouble for Camryn and Gavin. Cole does everything he can to support her as long as she will allow it.

“When it feels like the monsters are getting to close, remember to take slow, deep breaths and realize that you are the only one in control. When you own your breath, nobody can steal your peace. That’s when the demons will leave you alone.”

Cole and Camryn are put to the ultimate test for their relationship to survive when both of their exes return with an agenda. When betrayal, hatred and violence occur- these two must learn to breath to find their own peace.

This was a great story about challenges that face young love when bad past decisions become barriers that not everyone could overcome. Sometimes love is strong enough; other times it is not. When family secrets are revealed and mistakes of the past become too much sometimes moving forward is not easy. Cole and Camryn are strong together but will they be strong enough???

All the characters of this story were well written and played very important roles in the story. The setting and description of all locations were great! I truly enjoyed this story and would love to have more of these characters!!
