Blog Tour: Worth the Chance by Vi Keeland

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I’d know him anywhere. Sure, he’s grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I’d much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She’s smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she’s dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I’m damn good. But there’s one woman that isn’t interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince ‘The Invincible’ Stone is every woman’s fantasy…strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he’s learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own…for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there’s no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

4 Star Review by Lisa Kane

Vinny Stone is a fighter; his trainer is Nico from Keeland’s, Worth the fight. He’s in his mid twenties and life is pretty good. He’s a great fighter, is earning respect for his bouts, and he has women..lots of women. That aspect of his life hasn’t changed much since high school. Women have always thrown themselves at him.

Liv is a writing intern in line for a prestigious permanent position. Her assignment is to do a story on a fighter. When she gets to the self-defense class he volunteers to fight (actually Nico makes him teach it) she sees Vinny and can’t believe it’s the same guy she had a crush on in high school. He recognizes her immediately and both silently relive memories of the days Liv was Vinny’s English tutor; only his name in those days was Vinny Stonetti. He was a senior and she was a sophomore but they were both interested in the other. Vinny played around with girls similar to him. Eventually, the attraction between them was too strong to deny, and they gave in to their feelings. But Vinny pulled away and stopped contact with Liv and she was left with no explanations and heart broken. Forced to cover this story, they are thrown in each other’s paths again.
Vinny convinces Liv (pretty much blackmails her!) into going out with him for dinner. She tries to tell herself not to enjoy herself, not to fall under his spell. The two of them can't deny the magic is still there, only this time Vinny's issues (mostly his mom's drug use) isn't so relevant. They spend more time together and Vinny feels himself wanting to be with Liv all the time. He has no interest in his GIMPS (Groupie I Might Pound) or any casual hook ups. When the two finally have sex “fireworks" would be putting it mildly!

He lowers himself down my body, stopping at my breasts to suck in each sensitive nipple. Each suck ending in a nip that shoots a burst of pain down my body, but turns into desire before it reaches its final destination. His hand reaches between my legs and his wide thumb strokes my clit as he inserts one long finger into me expertly.
Abruptly, Vinny stills, leaving me dangling from bliss. "Headboard, Liv. Last warning."

Liv gets added pressure at work. Suddenly the story she was investigating has now changed and Vinny and a secret about him that can threaten everything is the one her boss wants her to cover. Liv tries to find out all she can, but there is danger and powerful people involved, and she finds herself becoming a target. Keeping Vinny in the dark may be a plan that backfires. Meanwhile, Vinny's mom and her scum friends mess with the wrong characters and Vinny will once again have to bail her out.

When Vinny finds out what Liv has been hiding, can he forgive her? How can Liv make this situation right? I loved Worth the Chance as much as Worth the Fight. The added bonus was having Nico and Elle and their growing family in this one as well.

"I'm sorry, Vinny." "You've said that. Anything else?" "I never meant to hurt you." "You didn't."
