Review: Forbid Me (The Good Ol Boys) by M Robinson

It was only a matter of time until the truth came out.
I never thought it would come to this…
I tried, God knows I tried to stay away from her but eventually I crossed that line and broke that trust. I could no longer go back and I sure as fuck didn’t regret a single moment of it. I knew there would be hell to pay, I knew the wrath I’d be facing but I would willingly take the burns and scars just to have the love of my best friend's sister.
If there is one person I’d willingly go to hell and back for it was…

5 Fantastic Stars

Review by Natasha Gentile

Where do I start with this book?  I have to say I was lucky enough to be added to M. Robinson beta team with the promise that I would be gentle with her babies.  I am happy to say that I didn’t need to keep my promise because they were awesome!

This is the second in the series for the Good Ol’ Boys.  Of course we have already met these characters in Complicate Me, but I was so happy we finally got the back story of Lily and Jacob and what a ride it was.  This was my journey.

It was only a matter of time until the truth came out.

That my friends is a loaded sentence.  You sit there thinking to yourself what truth?  You sit there wondering how long would it take for Jacob to come senses?  Let me just put it to you like this.  He just needed a couple of pushes.  And well Lily, this woman was so strong.

I never thought it would come to this…

He’s known Lily since she was a little baby.  Vowed to always always watch over her.  Except Lily started looking at Jacob with stars in her eyes.  Not one to wait for Jacob to come to terms with it she told him and showed him each and every time that she could.

She dangled herself in front of him pushing him to the edge of the cliff and it was just a matter of time before he jumped off not knowing where he would land.

I tried, God knows I tried to stay away from her but eventually I crossed that line and broke that trust.

It took so much for him to finally give in to Lily.  I mean this poor thing would put herself out there each and every time with the end result always being Jacob walking away.  Walking away;  but he was leaving a piece of his heart each time.  In the end she had his heart the whole time, she just needed his head to catch.

When they finally get on the same path fate steps in and Jacob knows that there is no turning back.  But you see he’s turned his back on her so many times it takes everything he has in order to make her see that she is it for him.  She’s his lobster.

I knew there would be hell to pay, I knew the wrath I’d be facing but I would willingly take the burns and scars just to have the love of my best friend's sister.
There seems to be only one problem now that they are both on the same page.  Telling his best friend and her brother.  You see with all the years that they have been playing this cat and mouse game the only one that didn’t see the chase was her brother.

He had his girl, she had her guy; they went through hell to get there.  They went through laughter, growth, heartache, and sadness but most importantly they learned to love wholeheartedly. But how will this all play out when her brother finds out?

The story just flowed beautifully and made you want so much more of these characters.  It made you see more stories to come and I for one can’t wait!
