***

This a longer length novella and is the second book in the Sweet series. It is told in dual POV, has an HEA, and no cliffhanger. Since Samantha and Jase are recurring characters from Sweet Temptation and Sweet Love, I recommend reading both books prior to this but it isn’t a must.

Warning: Due to mature subject matter, such as explicit sexual situations and coarse language, this story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Review by Jen Skewes

I have yet to read a KC Lynn book and been disappointed. I don't think this author can write anything less than a great book. Sweet Haven is no different.

Samantha Evans is Sawyer's sister. She stayed behind in Colorado when her parents moved to Charleston to be close to Sawyer, Grace and their grand babies. But she's leaving in a few months to join them. She's finally broken lose from Grant Fleming, the abusive, controlling douche that we first heard about in Sweet Love. During the day she is a teacher but she's been helping her friend Zoey out at her bar by waitressing. There are a few hot firemen that like to enjoy a few beers at the bar. One in particular, Jase Crawford, gets under her skin.
He's her brother's nemesis and he takes great joy in teasing her. Ever since Sawyer screwed Stephanie Taylor, the girl Jase was seeing they have been enemies. Sawyer thought they had broken up  (Stephanie led him to believe that) but the damage was done. It didn't help that both their fathers have a lot of bad feelings between them too. (all will be revealed about why that is)

Because I don't like Stephanie. It's her fault Sawyer and Jase hate each other.

I love how Sam calls Stephanie the town's bicycle. If the bike fits...

But when Sam finds herself in a bad situation it's Jase that comes to the rescue. He may give her a hard time, but no way is he going to let anyone else lay a hand on her.

"Why do you care? It's no secret you hate me."

This is the moment that turns things around for them. Finally, all those feelings they have been shutting down for each other are about to get unleashed!

We don't like each other, that's the way it's always been, it's what I'm familiar with. I don't know what to do with all of these feelings she drags out of me. I'm especially confused by the need to fuck her like I hate her but then wrap her in my arms and never let anyone hurt her.

But there are some major obstacles between them. They may be crazy about each other, they may want to jump each other every chance they get, but there's no getting around the fact that Sam is moving and Jase still hates her brother. Family is so important to her, how could she ever choose between her brother and the man she is falling in love with?

The problem is, my heart selfishly wants it all-him and my family-but deep down I know it's not possible. So now I'm left with making a choice I'm not sure I can make.

Jase is all man, and we all know men screw up. Badly. They have no filters and go for the jugular and say and do things they will regret.

"You had to know payback was going to happen soon or later, Evans."

Just about now is when I want to throat punch Jase, but of course I had to give him a chance to get out of the giant crater he dug for himself.

Sweet Haven is sweet and sassy and has a couple of twists to it. I adore Ms. Lynn's writing, and as fast as she can write them, I will read them!
