Genre: Contemporary/Second Chance Romance

Sometimes love needs a second chance…

Sometimes love needs a second chance…
I never looked back after skipping out on my own wedding, even if it did leave me estranged from most of my family. Eight years later, I have the life I’ve always wanted. As an advertising account executive, my world is damn near perfect.
Until I come face-to-face with my past. With the man I once loved. The man who holds my future in his hands. The man who’s hell-bent on getting even with me for leaving him at the altar.
Even with all the unfinished business between us, I still love Knox Montgomery. The only problem?
He loves me…KNOT.

Review by Lisa Kane

Who doesn’t love a second shot at romance story? Emma Jane Haywood was set to marry the love of her life-Knox Montgomery. They had been together since they were locker buddies in the tenth grade. So on her wedding day, right before she is about to walk down the aisle, something happens that affects her so badly she flees. She becomes the ugly crying runaway bride and ends up in a gay bar. She’s ready to drink herself into a stupor. But she’s not alone-oh no- NFL hottie Becket Jones, knows a damsel in distress when he sees one. Why is he in a gay bar? His brother is there with some of his friends and Becket fits right in to any situation.

Becket gets to the bottom of Emma Jane’s debacle, and thus starts a beautiful friendship. She needs a good friend, since her father texted her letting her know she was fired from the magazine he control who employed her. And by the way…don’t bother coming home either.

And it dawns on my why he’s calling me Blue.
In yet another act against my father’s dominating ways, I dyed a streak of my hair for my “something blue.”

Fast forward eight years later, and Emma Jane has a successful career at a magazine in Florida and she’s still best friends with Becket. Although according to the press, they are more than friends. When rumors fly that the magazine is in financial trouble and has been bought by a new owner, Emma Jane digs in her heels ready to prove to the new management that she not only is great at the job she has, but she deserves a promotion. Imagine her surprise when the new owner is none other than Knox Montgomery.

“Are you suggesting you represent the company in the best light possible? By being the girlfriend of an NFL quarterback?”

Hmmm…seems Knox is more than a little bitter about Emma Jane literally leaving him at the altar.

Of course, there’s the mystery of why Emma Jane fled her wedding to solve, and there might just be a few other shockers along the way. When two people loved each other as hard as these two did, does that love ever really go away? Time may have marched on, but both Knox and Emma Jane’s hearts were spoken for a long time ago.
He Loves Me Knot is a sweet and sassy romance between two characters who are a little bit flawed, but a whole like likeable. They are framed by great secondary players-Becket is drool worthy and deserves his own HEA, Madison, Emma Jane’s bestie and Wells, Knox’s wise cracking loyal sidekick need their own stories too! There’s some easy readin’ with this Southern charmer!

“Emma Jane Haywood, I’ve loved you from the moment our lockers were side by side in the tenth grade. And I never,” his throat works as he goes on, “gave my heart to anyone else.”
