Last Words by Sam Mariano

And they all lived happily ever after... maybe.

Find out what happens in the final book in the Morelli family series!

PLEASE NOTE: This is a comprehensive series, not a set of standalones. The story starts in book one, Accidental Witness, and is unlikely to be enjoyed if you have not read the whole series.

Last Words is the final installment in this amazing series.  I for one am sad to see it end.  I know that there will be more in the future with the spin off series but I am going to miss the characters that I loved so much, especially, Mateo and Mia, and of course Adrian.  Sam Mariano knows how to go out with a bang.  I loved the ending to this series and the way it all came together.

After reading Coming Home, we were left hanging when it came to Meg and Vince and I still had so many questions that I wanted answers for.  We knew that there would be a test of loyalty but that was all that we were told.  Who was the test for?  Would they pass the test or find themselves facing death?  Would Meg and Vince make it long enough to see another day, to find some sort of happiness?  So many questions, but none of which I am going to answer!!

What I love about this series and Ms. Mariano’s writing is the twist and turns that just keep coming.  You truly never know where the story is going to go.  I questioned people’s motives, their trust and loyalty so many times throughout this series and once again in Last Words.  I don’t really want to go into any detail about what this story was about. It is written in three parts and I swear my emotions were all over the place just in part one alone.  Mateo and Mia are together and happy.  We all know that trust is a huge issue with Mateo,  if  you so much as betray him in any way you are dead to him, literally.  He has no issue with taking out anyone that goes against him.

Mateo wants Vince and Meg dead.  They both betrayed him in a way that put Mia in danger.  But Mia is too good of a person to let him do that.  Mateo, the head of the family answers to no one.  But Mia is the only person to ever own his heart in the way that she does.  She is his world and his heart, so she has some influence where those decisions are concerned right? Guess you will have to wait and see.

I think I fell more in love with these characters than I already was.  Mateo and Mia together just makes my heart happy.  He is this powerful man who has this amazing heart when it comes to her.  Yes he can be a complete bastard but his love for Mia is so real, and I loved that.  Adrian is still very present in this book and I swear I cannot get enough of that man.  Now there is one particular person who I have not been a fan of for quite some time and I am sorry to say I don’t think my feelings have changed.

If you are looking for a series that is raw, gritty, filled with angst and drama and a sexy mob boss, then look no further.  The Morelli family is exactly what you need.  Sam Mariano has once again completely sucked me back into their world and I loved every minute of it.  I cannot wait to for the spin off series so I can get more of Rafe!!
