Review and Giveaway: Reckless by Skye Jordan

A couture wedding dress designer to the rich and famous, Lexi LaCroix’s image means everything. But crossing paths with a sexier-than-sin, bad-boy biker makes Lexi realize how much living she’s sacrificed for her success and one touch is all it takes to threaten her carefully choreographed life. When that touch fills far more than just Lexi’s physical needs, she finds herself torn between the career she needs and the bad-boy she craves.

Jax Chamberlin gave up the superficial life of acting for the thrill of running his own stunt company years ago. But a recent betrayal proves he’s still too close to the limelight to find a woman who doesn’t plan to use him as a stepping-stone to success. When the charming and mysterious Lexi offers him a totally anonymous hook-up during an out of town trip, Jax accepts. Only Lexi is more sextacular than charming, and Jax wants more.

But Lexi’s got a major hang-up over his renegade lifestyle, and Jax isn’t willing to change his ways. Especially not when he discovers who she really is. Because if she finds out his connections could catapult her to the top of her career, he’s afraid the fantasy woman he’s falling for might just end up like all the other gold-diggers. And this time, it’s not just his bad-boy reputation at risk, but his heart, too.

4.5 Star Review by Faith Dotson

Holy Mother of all HOTNESS!!! Jax and Lexi take it to a whole new level from the texting, to the hook ups where Lexi insists they can’t see each other, and to finding themselves. I’m still trying to figure out how my computer didn’t erupt into flames with some of the ever loving intimate scenes.

“He’d never had a problem before, but…He wasn’t sure if it was the darkness, the whole stranger thing, or the little surprises she kept throwing at him, but he was having a hell of a time holding back.”

With all that Lexi has had to endure in her life and know with her being one of the most sought after wedding dress designers for the rich and famous, she deserves to have a little fun. The problem is…her little fun could ruin all that she has worked for because image is everything, right? After using an app that her best friend Rubi designed, she secretly texts the man that completely stole her breath away just a few moments ago when she arrived at the airport and things begin to heat up.

Jax was tired of the women that he encountered using for only one thing…his ability to take care of him with his money or their way to fame. He finally decides that he has had enough of it when one takes one of the biggest stuntman jobs away from him. He has lived his life in the spotlight with his acting career, but decided he didn’t want to travel that path any more. After his falling out with his famous family, Jax decides that he will start using his middle name and start his own company…Renegades.

Lexi has no idea the life that Jax had made for himself in the Hollywood scene. All she sees is the man standing before her. The man that is hell bent on making her feel good, but also fights the inner battle with himself that he isn’t right for her.

“She was delicious. Completely, radically luscious. And he wanted more. More than just sex, more than just tonight…..”

I’m going to say it again….HOLY HOTNESS!!! The build up between these two characters was incredible. The flirting between them was hot, funny and with a touch of tenderness. What’s not to love about a man that would put a woman above all else, and what’s not to love about a sweet woman willing to take care of a man when he falls ill???

The feeling you get when these two are together will totally ignite you: the closeness that is craved, the want that they feel, and the way they complete each other.

“She collected her scattered thoughts. I’m here because I like you. Because you’re fun and thoughtful and interesting and sexy. Because you make me feel more than I’ve felt in what seems like forever.”

Can’t say enough on how much I really enjoyed this book. The secondary characters also added flirtatious fun to the book. It wasn’t just about the hot, steamy romp; the romance between these two melted my heart and I found myself craving more. But I guess I will settle for the way they grew together, faced their fears, and realizing what was important in life.

Looking forward to more HOT Renegades!!!!
