I always look forward to a new book from Nora Flite.  I know I can always count on an intriguing hero and a heroine that I love.  And Last of the Bad boys is no different. 

Huxton "Huck" Blake is a stripper/escort/muscle for hire. You name it he does it.  He is called on by his friend Eliza to strip at her roommates birthday party.   When Huck takes one look at Zoe, the birthday girl he sees this shy girl who he wants.  Huck's main source of income is as an escort.  An escort who gets paid a lot of money to take care of his clients in anyway that they need.  He loves what he does and makes good money doing it.  But meeting Zoe Lilith changes all that. 

Zoe has her own past that has a big affect on her present.  She is in real deep with a guy named Nehro.  If she cannot keep up her end of their bargain then she has to resort to doing something that will totally disgust and ruin her.  She needs help one night and scrambles her brain trying to figure out what to do.  When she finds the business card in her pocket from earlier that night she decides to call Huck "muscle for hire" Blake.  Hoping that he will say yes, which of course he does

Zoe wants Huck but given her past record of being hurt and not being able to trust people, she knows that she needs to stay away from him.  She swore she would not fall for another bad boy. But Huck is so dam irresistible and also a bit relentless when it comes to her.  He wants her. And not just in a sexual way. You can feel that what he feels for Zoe is unlike anything he has ever felt. He will go to great lengths to keep her safe.  To protect her from the people who hold her fate in their hands.  But they both have secrets that could cause the other to go running.  What will happen when secrets are revealed?   Will Huck continue to help Zoe?  Will Zoe be so disgusted with Huck that she will walk away from him?

This book is a little bit sexy and a little bit of mystery and danger.  You know that Zoe owes people money but you are not sure why.  And the kind of trouble that she is in is bad.  To the point that if Huck keeps helping her he could get hurt in a really bad way.  There is danger in the sense that you aren't sure where it will go. How will Zoe get out of the trouble she is in and what will it cost both her and Huck?

Huck is hot and sexy and I loved how much he wanted to protect Zoe.  Almost from the moment he met her he wanted her.  Forgetting about his clients so he could be with her, even if it wasn't in a sexual way. He wanted to know all about her. Wanted to know her secrets.  But there was no doubt he also wanted her in his bed. But what I loved about him was that he would put his life on the line to truly protect her.  And he never thought twice about it. He was the one person who actually fought for Zoe.

I always love Nora's books. I love her writing style and I love the heroes and heroines that she creates.  Zoe had a lot of issues and while Huck was always so willing to help her she was afraid of what would happen to him if he did.  But she was also afraid of losing him if he knew the truth.  I loved watching how they fall for each other.  I love feeling the connection between them. I think my only issue is that I would have loved a little more of them in the end.  I wanted more of a look into their future.  But otherwise I loved it. I loved the characters, the connection, the sexy scenes and the suspense of not knowing what will happen next.  This is one of those books where you can't read fast enough because you just need to know how it all ends.  How will Zoe get out of the mess that she is in? or will she?
