4.5 Star Review by Jen Skewes
I loved this series.
We were left with one heck of a cliffhanger in book and I needed to get
my hands on the final installment as soon as possible.. I’m not going to lie, I was nervous as all
hell waiting for this book. I wasn’t
sure which direction this would go, if Haven and Jake would be able to work
through it all. Was their love strong enough
to survive. Well Louise Bay did not disappoint.
The third installment starts exactly where we left off. Haven and Jake’s relationship had been going
great until Jake had a bomb dropped on him and now he must figure out how to
tell Haven without losing her. This is
the part that I was nervous about because I was not sure how this would go and
I absolutely love the way Ms. Bay handled this little bump in the road. Ok let’s be honest here it was a major bump
in the road for Haven and Jake but what I loved was that the initial reaction
wasn’t to run and give up everything they had worked so hard for. They loved each other and would find away to
make it work. But the truth of the
matter is can they really make it work and still be the same happy couple that
they have been?
Jake has so much on his plate right now and is trying his
best to do the right thing. But will
doing the right thing mean losing Haven?
As much as Haven understands what he is going through and wants to be by
his side, how much will they both have to sacrifice for it. Jake would do anything for Haven, he would
give her the world if she asked for it.
He just wants her to be happy, even if that means losing her in the
process. They both love each other
deeply, there is no doubt about that.
But sometimes loving someone means having to let them go, no matter how
bad the pain may be. Will Haven and Jake
be able to make it all work or will they let this break them for good?
As I mentioned earlier I loved the way this story was
told. I felt the love that these two
have for each other and I knew how much their decisions were hurting them. Even if they felt them to be the right
decisions, it still hurt. Jake and Haven were perfect for each other and I
think they both taught each other so much.
Jake knew the real Haven better than anyone and helped her see who she
really was and what she really wanted. I
think Haven was Jake’s light. In the past
he dated woman who were superficial and materialistic and Haven could not have
been more opposite than the woman he was used to. And that is exactly why he loved her and why
she was meant for him. I loved everything
about this series. Ok well I didn’t
exactly love Millie. I wanted to slap
her on more than one occasion and trust me she would have deserved it. But other than that I loved everything. This was the perfect conclusion to this
series and I will miss Jake and Haven.
But I am hoping that Ash gets her own story and if she so will it be
with Luke or will she find another man to love her? Another great job by Ms. Bay.
