Review: Monster Prick by Kendall Ryan

Over my dead body.

That's what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.

If anyone is touching her, it's going to be me.

I shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.

***
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.

Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.

When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.

He says if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.

I hate that I’m even considering his offer.

But I am … I sooo am.

Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.

But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?

MONSTER PRICK is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

4.5 Monster Stars!!

Review by Lisa Kane

Monster Prick is a novella so it's a short read but hits all my require boxes. It's hot, has a great plot and ties up the story.  I knew I was going to love this one since I adored Hudson Stone in Screwed, and I was thrilled to see he was going to have his own story with Gracie, Hayden's sister.

Gracie has just recently graduated from college and feels that it's time to catch up to the point every else around her is at-relationships, fun, sex. She's still a virgin at 22 and is so ready to change that. When she's out at her celebration dinner with Hayden and Hudson, she lets it be known that she's signed up for an online dating sight. She's ready to meet someone.

This is the year that Gracie Oliver grows up. I;m nervous about it, but excited, too-it's just another way I'm taking charge of my life.

Only Hayden has a fit and starts spouting off about crazies and serial killers and Hudson looks like he swallowed something horrible. She leaves in a huff; sick of their babying her. Hudson follows.

Now Gracie has known Hudson her whole life. He spent more time in her home while he was growing up than in his over the top disgustingly rich parents' house. Being the youngest of three children, Gracie was the one overlooked, and Hudson was the one who spoiled her. He would buy her books and little treats and make sure she felt like she belonged. When she started to develop and got older, he backed off. He was still friendly, but not as affectionate. He may be her older brother's best friend, but he's been her crush forever.

When Hudson presses Gracie to tell him why she wants to try online dating she lets him know she is sick of being a virgin. She wants to know what's it's like to be with a man. When he tells her he could help her with that problem, she just about falls over. It turns out Mr. Stone isn't indifferent to Gracie at all-his feelings for her are not those of a big brother figure. But he has his reasons for keeping those thoughts to himself.

When I became a man-and I realized she was becoming a woman-I did my best to shut things down. The only crime worse than messing with your best friend's lover is messing with his sister.

So he proposes a plan-one that will benefit both of them.

"Nothing complicated. We'd meet up at my place-say, three times-and I'd teach you what I know." Taking a chance, I add, "What makes you come best. How to please a man. Anything you want to learn."

Oh, things are about to get really interesting now!

Will Gracie agree? Will Hudson ever tell her how he really feels? What happens after the three times is up?

I only distracted myself with all those other women in the first place because I couldn't have her.

This may have been a short read, but I LOVED it! I wouldn't mind a little follow up for Hayden and Emery and Hudson and Gracie.  (Kendall, are you taking my hint??)
