I just love the writing duo that is LH Cosway and Penny Reid
and when it comes to the Rugby series I cannot get enough of these
characters. I love the humor and witt
that these authors manage to weave into their stories. They have the right amount of drama and the
characters are so fun and loveable and people that you cannot help but falling in
love with. I love the little messages between
the characters to start each chapter.
They always make me smile and it is a reflection of the cleverness and
witty banter that we see throughout the book.
Bryan Leech is is the sexy rugby star who is known for being a
playboy, who loves to party and drink and has no problems getting woman. As a matter of fact his life is filled with
all of the above, the wild parties and women to go along with it. But when he is faced with having to clean up
his act or losing what is most important to him he has no choice really. He is done with the alcohol, wild parties,
one night stands. He has cleaned himself
up and done with all of it. But not many
people really believe this to be true.
It’s almost like they have to see it to believe it. He wants to prove to everyone that he is a
changed man. And when Elish Cassidy
comes into his life he has never wanted to prove it more.
Eilish never expected
to become pregnant at nineteen years old, the first time she had sex and it
ends with her having a baby. It is now
five years later and she has moved back to England and will be working with her
favorite cousin’s rugby team. And she
will also be facing Bryan Leech, the man she had a crush on many years
ago. She is very attracted to him, who
wouldn’t be. But she knows his
reputation, and she knows that giving in to this man will only leave her with a
broken heart. He claims that he has
changed, but can she really trust him and believe that what he is saying is the
truth? Will she give into her feelings
for this man or will she run?
I loved this book. I
think this may be my favorite one of the series. Bryan Leech was a big time playboy and you
see that in the very beginning but the man that we see in the present is so far
from who he really was. I loved him and
who he really was. He made me laugh and
swoon. And I loved the connection that
he had with Eilish. She was the perfect heroine. She had sass and was a bit feisty. She was also a very strong and independant
woman considering all that she has been through. Together these two were perfect.
What I always love about this writing duo is the flirty and
fun banter between the characters. And
not just the main charactes but the whole group in general. We get to see the couples from the first two
books, especially Sean who is very much involved in this story. I know when I start to read a book from this series that it will be filled with a sexy hero, fun characters and just the right amount of drama. Another fantastic job. I am hoping that we get Will's story next.
