Blog Tour for K.C. Lynn's Cockloft

Title: COCKLOFT
Author: KC Lynn
Release Date: August 18, 2017

TBR Link: Goodreads

Synopsis

Cockloft: A firefighter term used as a structural space above ceiling and below rafters, often connecting adjacent occupancies and permitting fire to spread laterally, often unseen.

Gabriel Martinez is the most arrogant and infuriating man I’ve ever met. He has a knee-weakening smirk that makes me want to kiss—no—slap it off his rude, sexy face. Judging by his ego, you’d think the hose in his pants is as big as the one on his fire truck. Not that I know anything about that nor do I want to. Nope, not at all. He’s already been forgotten like last season’s Michael Kors.

CeCe Kensington is as pretentious and spoiled as they come. The ridiculous purses she shoulders around are as big as her attitude. And don’t get me started on her mile-long legs or full, glossy lips that are meant to be wrapped around a guy’s… If she only knew the dirty things I think about doing to that sassy mouth of hers, she'd be hightailing it back to her side of town.

When the beautiful boutique owner and sexy firefighter meet in the most unlikely situation, their two worlds collide, creating an explosion of misperceptions and combustible heat, trapping them in a fire they never saw coming.

4.5 Fantastic Stars!
Review by Lisa Kane

CeCe Kensington wakes in the middle of the night by the fire alarm in her apartment building. Thinking it’s a false alarm just like every other time, she doesn’t leave. But it does seem legit, so she searches for the one thing beside her dog, Pep, which she cherishes. Digging in her closet to find her treasured memento, she’s interrupted by a gorgeous hot firefighter who has no time for her antics. She tries to explain, but he cuts her off.

“You wanna know what my problem is? My brothers need help fighting a fire and I’m stuck here with you because you didn’t evacuate like you were supposed to!”

She has to go down a ladder to get out. Gabe Martinez has already had quite the eyeful of CeCe in her skimpy panties and top. Now he has his face crotch level while she gets her to safety. There may not be any flames around them, but there sure as hell is smoke!

After their brief but unforgettable encounter, fate brings them together again, when Gabe is called out for a possible gas leak in the complex where CeCe’s business, Kensington Palace is located. CeCe has always been obsessed by fashion. She may have had a privileged upbringing but her father’s death and her own ambition are what made a success of her high-end fashion shop. Her father treated her like his princess, and she is determined to honor him.

You will always be my princess and this home is forever your palace.

Gabe comes from humble roots, and he was forced at an early age to become the man of the family. He earned every dollar he could to support his family. He has his own reasons for why he has little tolerance for rich and spoiled people.

But there’s no denying that CeCe has a burning fire that only Gabe can extinguish. So let the inferno begin!

“Miss Kensington had a wet spot in the back that needed to be taken care of.”
Oh-my-god.

Cockloft is a light read, with a touch of drama and angst. Just enough to keep things interesting. Two opposites attract. But are their backgrounds and social styles too much of a barrier to make things work?

“I know you’ll always be your father’s princess but I want you as my queen.”
