Release Blitz: Mister Tonight by Kendall Ryan

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a standalone romance about a swoony single dad and the new neighbor he falls for.

Last night was the most embarrassing night of my life.

I was THAT girl.

You know, the highly intoxicated chick celebrating her thirtieth with her two best friends—the ones who are happily married. And the more I drank, the more I wanted to do something reckless to celebrate.

By reckless, I meant the sexy and alluring man dressed in a business suit standing near the bar. You know his type—tall, dark, and handsome. I was sure he was out of my league, but I'd had just enough alcohol that things like that no longer seemed to matter. I'm not fat, mind you, but you can tell I like French fries, so there's that.

He took me home and I enjoyed the hottest birthday sex of my life, well until it came to a screeching, and rather unwelcome halt.

There's nothing quite like being interrupted mid-ride with a little voice asking:

"What are you doing to my daddy?"

Just kill me now…... or so I thought.

Come to find out the man I rode like a bull at the rodeo is my new landlord.

Review by Lisa Kane

Kate is out with her girlfriends celebrating her 30th birthday. She’s looking for tequila and a man. Kate’s all about having a good time and avoiding any kinds of commitment.

“Not date. Just birthday sex. I’m looking for a Mister Tonight, not a Mister Forever.”

She’s just about to move into her new place after having her former roommate get engaged. The happy couple gave her the boot-two’s company, three’s a crowd.

Kate’s eyes wander over the crowd until they land on Mr. Gorgeous. He just might have noticed her too. Convo commences and he offers to take her back to his place. Just as a good time was had by all, a tiny voice can be heard…

“What are you doing to my daddy?”

Kate hightails it out of there like a bat out of hell. She regrets the way her one night stand ended, but is glad she won’t have to suffer any embarrassment because she won’t see him again.

Cue the ominous music…

So remember I told you that Kate was getting a new place. Guess who her new landlord is? Yep, Mr. Tonight’s name is Hunter, he owns the detached unit she is moving into and is the single dad to a four year old (going on 30!) daughter named Maddie.

The place is perfect, the rent is perfect and Kate would be crazy to turn down this much perfect. She’s and adult, Hunter’s an adult. This can work. Especially since being in each other’s company makes them both want a little something something.

So friends with benefits it is. They can both date other people if they want, but they can scratch that itch with each other. No complications. Yeah right…

Hunter is a great dad. Maddie is his responsibility, since her mom bailed as soon as she was born. His life since then has revolved around her.

And teaching her that just because some boy called her pretty didn’t mean she had to share her cupcake, and lots of other important life lessons.

Kate has never longed for a family or anything permanent. Her past taught her that love doesn’t last and she can do without the pain.

I wasn’t committed to being a stable role model for his daughter, and it wouldn’t be fair to him or her to blur the lines in our relationship, especially when things inevitably went south.

Mister Tonight is funny and yet has some serious moments. Kate has no problem laughing at herself, she takes things seriously but tries to see the humor in things.

I’d even considered going on a run before deciding I didn’t need him off my mind that bad.

Can a commitment phobic woman make things work with a guy who’s committed his life to being there for his daughter?

“Mister Tonight, huh?” he asked, recalling Jessie’s words.

I rolled my eyes. “Obviously, that didn’t’ work out.”

“I’d say it worked out perfectly.”
